It seems odd that you compliment the Lebanese on being how an emerging nation should run then straight away wonder what Australian based players could play instead of them :?

Nope i didnt, when im talking about Australian based players im talking about the ones born or who have already played for lebanon..not the ones that could play.

Plus thats the only way they will develop their amature players by playing along with the El Masri etc etc. All Lebanon need now is some juniors and some proper Tests against England or Wales.

Lebanon have done a great job in intergrating the national side over the past few years. Since the inception of the Med. Cup Lebanon started with a mainly exclusive side from Australian based players with only 2 local players. Over the past few years they have gradually included more local players in their Med. Cup squads, which again has been stated ealrier increases the performance of the local players playing alongside more experienced players like El Masri etc.

Personally I would like to see the Lebanese include players that have already played for Lebanon for their Med. Cup squad this season, perhaps limit it to say 6 OZ based players which could be the following players: Hazem El Masri, Robbie Farah, Hasan Saleh, Frank Samia, Toufic Nichols, Joe Lichaa.

Would be a very exciting squad.

Hasn't El Masri already played for Oz and Lebanon? PLaying for one should have prevented him from playing for the other.

They should have no problems this year in the Med Cup, they need another strong nation to join them....pitty MRL and was it Greece pulled out..shame really.

Dont blame them though, safety comes first.
