This would be funny if the team was actually playing well and winning on a regular basis. But because we’ve been a basketcase for the past 10 odd years “this place” is a forum that allows us long time suffering fans to vent our frustrations and provide opinions. We don’t expect players to be perfect and we don’t pretend to know what the opposition is planning. However, in a competition that is under a salary cap that “should” give all teams the same opportunity to be successful, then I’m pretty sure we all want to see us be a bit more successful than what we’ve been in the past 10 years…rant over

But... I'm pretty sure, if memory serves me, Gitano played for one of the teams we flogged. I retired at my peak at 12 years of age, playing for the B side, and, I'm told, Gitano went on to become an absolute star in the professional game.
