New halfback, new era, New-castle!

It will be a toughie for our new halfback Bond, Michael Bond so hopefully the Henson Park faithful make him feel at home and ease him in to this new spot.

Being the first of two consecutive home games, it would be great to start with a win to ensure a good crowd and some confidence against the high-flying Bulldogs on the 9th of June. Picking up four points from the next two matches will be very important as it is still quite tight at the top of the PL ladder

If anyone wants to get there earlier, there will be a curtain raiser between the Army and the Airforce Rugby League teams. That kicks off at 1:15pm.

Up the Jets!

Warm up the pies and cool down the beers for about 2pm. Hope BOND goes well this weekend. Was reading some of his credentials on the Jets website earlier, and he sounds ok.

I'll be there 2TB's so hopefully we can get loud this week.

Only saw the last 20 minutes of the game last week at Shark Park.

I did see a number of people in Newtown gear though. AND of I ran into Kev Maish!

I'm looking forward to the big game. Was a little disheartend when I saw Pearce had the call up to 1st's but that's what you get...

Hopefully there will be a big crowd there to get behind the boys and get them over the line. Has anyone seen our new half back in action before? Can't say that I have.

oddly the knights side listed above (which comes from the knights official website) is not the one in Big League and neither side will be the one that takes the field.

Knights site;

6 - Brown
7 - Walsh

Big League;

6 - Bailey
7 - Brown

Probable actual;

6 - Bailey
19 - Dureau

Thats a kind prediction mate. Though we "ARE" missing our hottest play makers since 2005season apparently .

I reckon we will win by atleast 30 something as our attack is awesome.

Newcastle won 26-20. It was 20-6 to the Knights at half time. Newtown conceded some soft tries in the first half and the ref gave the Knights loads of penalties. Newtown got back to 20 all but even then I didn't think they looked like winning.

Jamie Soward showed up. It was good to see him and a lot of fans wished him well. He seemed to appreciate the comments.

The Jets never looked like winning today.
