The thing i like about Gasol and Cousins is that they are clearly the best players in their team.
Durant has Westbrook, LBJ has Kyrie and Love, Steph has Klay who can outshoot him on any given day (and atm Speights :shock: )

Zach might disagree with you on Gasol. So might Tony Allen, and Courtney Lee has been lighting it up as well.

I'm going to throw a spanner in the mix and say Russell Westbrook. He's missed the first 10 games of the season, but if he kills it on the floor like he did last night with +30 points, and not far off from triple doubling, and he does it every night while KD is away, then surely he's back in the mix. More so if OKC go on some sort of a 5-10 winning streak and move up into the top 8th before KD's return.... what a wild ride that would be for everyone to watch.....story of the season.

his clutch 3 last night was pretty good. He's not just a guy with pretty dunks but MVP could be a stretch.. & his current season rank of 62 kinda backs that theory up.

Stats don't tell the whole story. It wasn't just his 3, he basically put the team on his back and carried them home.

He started slowly, but over the last two weeks he's averaging 27.4 points (57.3% from the field, 82.5% from the line), 7.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists.

Small sample size and a few weak teams in there to be sure, but if he can keep up this form he's right up there.
