Thoughts on Clinton Schifcofske

Just a thought cause it may be Peach's last year with the Sharks, on a replacement fullback.

Clinton is only contracted with the raiders till the end of this year......

I do hope that Peach has a great season with us and the club choose to re-sign him, but i feel that Schif will make an awesome replacement.....

My thoughts on Schif is that he's a cocky little smartass, with only above average skills to back himself up with.

Aitken is a better fullback option

Shoulda bought Ben Hornby while Doust and Brown were too busy socialising to tie up his contract.

No bloody way. Clinton runs slower then Peachey does now, he hits the deck before getting tackled and he is just dumb(see what he did in the finals last year)

I'd say we'll end up with some pl fullback like that bloke at the dragons... And he'll end up like Kent

I think Schif is an outstanding player and a good goal-kicker.
I wouldnt cry if we got him thats for sure but we do have a few full-backs waiting in the wings.
Simmo will be most improved on his runs last year. Sure he leaked a few errors but he will learn.
I'm a bit keen on Merritt having a run there too.
The lower grades should produce someone as well.

Putting a winger to fullback simply doesn't work, Anthony Minichello was a one case exception but you need someone who has played fullback their whole career because they know how to position themselves and cope under pressure.

Maybe look at Steve Turner, he is a very good fullback but is stuck behind Billy Slater.

who are you talking about Whippet? Merritt is a fullback and so is Simmons... Aitken is a 5/8

Minichiello is the exception where his move to fullback has cost the Chooks two Grand Finals yet still makes rep teams because he has the right friends in the right places like Goose.

Merritt's already played first grade full back for Souths.
He went pretty well there IMO which is why I'm keen to see him play full back here.
Simmo is a full back.
With Peachey at fullback they wanted to blood Simmo last year so the majority of games he got were on the wing.
He did play a few games at fullback but from memory they weren't that good.
He has enough talent to make it. Doing it is another thing but he's young and I think he can do it.

Schivofsky is the worst fullback playing 1st grade in the NRL. The only people who think he's any good are Raiders supporters and only because they are biased. He runs the ball back like a girl IMO Simmons has based his game on this hack and if our management even contemplated buying Schi.......they would need shooting.
