while saying this i reckon thurston should have a run-on spot but that would apparently throw team dynamics:roll:, even so some people reckon he couldntr play off the bench, what about the 04 grand final he made an impact
almost scored off a kick chase to, and alan smith reckons he couldnt play hooker, i reckon he could make a go of it.

Andrew Moore in the video clip to the left on this forum sums it up perfectly when sighting the reasons behind why Thurston shouldn't be picked in the Test side - it's a load of rubbish. Can't play as a utility? Give me a break - Thurston can cover hooker, halfback and five-eight. I am sure he could play as a ball playing lock similar to a Scott Hill if required as well.

We should be looking at excuses to pick rather than not picking him.

The difference is Minichiello(sp) is better than Hodgson but Lockyer isn't better than Thurston ATM.

In what was a terrible game and the worst performance from a Cowboys side in 18mths, Thurston was thereabouts the best for the Cowboys IMO. Scored a try, put Sweeney over in the corner for another and had 120m+ bagging 10pts.

in what part Hodgson is one of the best support players around just watch hes final series the way he tore up both Cowboys and Broncos and its not like he has no attack he was in the top 3 in line breaks last year plus all the try savers he got

It's just personal opinion Joel and I think Mini is better than Hodgo. His kick returns are definately better, he's harder to put down. It's not that I think Hodgson is bad.

Scott Prince was apart of a football side this time last season who had won 3 games from 7 sitting on 8pts with 1 bye - yes, there is a difference. Prince's early season 2005 form was nothing in comparison to what happened from mid year onward when he was no longer concentrating on the possible Origin jersey that Thurston took from him.

Johnathan Thurston is the form player of the competition in 2006 in a side that has now lost only their second game of the season in his team's worst performance of the season.

The form of Thurston early 2006 is better than that of Scott Prince in early 2005 - end of story for mine. Prince was never being pushed to make his Test debut for the May Test as Thurston has been in 2006 now was he?

I am Prince fan though let's get be real, he was not dominating the competition as Thurston has done thus far in 2006. After Origin, yes, early season, no.

Prince had his chance on the tri-nations tour and was pretty poor. In the end even if the tigers were playing well, he has no chance of being picked.
