can anyone tell me if thurston is leaving the cowboys at the end of this year, or is his contract ending?

Im pretty sure that it is the end of next year.

Webb signed for 3 years and Thurston signed for 2. If not its the other way around but i think he is off contract next year.

Isnt everyone making up rumours? This off season has been boring so the media is trying to create a storm. Why would Thurston be released from his contract after one year?

Thurston does have a get out clause in his contract that allows him to leave the Cowboys if he's not fitting in, it was a safety thing just incase he didn't like life in North QLD. He's already said he won't be using it though.

Yep, that's right.. Webb 2 and Thurston 3... gee, I hope we can re-sign Webb next year- he'll be attracting a lot of interest.

Yeah i know someone signed for 2 but i wasnt sure if it was Webb or Thurston. Actually thinking about it now i think that you are right i think that Thurston is for 3 years.

Thurston is happy at Nth Qld and is a certain starter at the moment so there is no chance he is going to be released and there is no reason for him to want to go.

If he was going to ask for a release if it was in his contract, then smart people would suggest that he would have asked for it before the anti-tampering deadline had past so that he could get the most value in the FA market.
