ticket sales of remaining games?

The RFL released a statement today to say that sales for the City of Manchester Test have broken the 30,000 barrier. With a full week to go that doesn't sound too bad to me.

The only other ground I have heard anything about is the game at the KC stadium in Hull, of which I was warned by a mate to buy tickets as they will sell out soon.

It was considered a massive risk playing in the COMS. Much like Loftus road, it looks to be paying off.

I'd rather wait til the game has come and gone... I've lost count of the number of times I, as fan, have been promised the world...... and let down.

Final has had 19,000 tickets sold as of last week, a lot of people capitalising on the RFL's deal where if you bought tickets for the regular games you could watch the final for a discounted amount.

What is the capacity at Elland Road?

And does anyone know how much publicity the series is getting in GB.

I know in AUS and NZ the coverage has in some cases exceeded expectations.

coverage is pretty meagre at the moment but better than usual and will certainly pick up when GB beat Aus on saturday! A defeat will probably see some dissapointing reviews of it. Mens mags are helping matters in general over here. We have some new weekly mens mags in the style of FHM and theres 2 main ones ZOO and Nuts, Zoo this week has a pretty big article and both were very complimentary of the GF. A lot of people have been critical of 30,000 but I'm happy with it. It won't sellout but a crowd of plus 40,000 is definatley achievable.

Just to make you aussies a bit jealous, heres a picture of the view I'll be having on Saturday.

Well we will be the one's with the 2 Tri Nations points after the match, so I guess it is a fair trade.

You will have a good view of the slaughter though mikdalton. ;-)

Press coverage has been good. Well, apalling really but for national newspapers and Rugby League in this country it has been better than usual. Certainly better than that for your visit here last year.

If GB make the Final then surley Elland Road will sell out.

Good to see the coverage has at least improved. Remember this is really on the first year of this comp and as it builds it's history it will become more prestigious and hopefully eventually rival what the union Tri-nations offers in Australia and NZ.
