Tigers done good

Watching last night's game for the first time this morning, I was able to pay more attention to the quality of footy instead of the ebb and flow of points.

All up I reckon the Tigers played well last night. For starters, on paper Penrith are obviously the better side, and most would have tipped them without hesitation. You gotta be reasonably happy playing a very competitive game against a competition front-runner.

Some people on this forum death-ride certain players, but watching last night you couldn't be unhappy with any one particular player's efforts. Eg Duffy missed Roberts badly when he made that 90m try, but stopped Galuvao twice on the line and scored that nice try. Same as Graham was plain in attack but defended excellently.

Hodgson defn missed a gettable kick, but converting Galea's try was a tough one he got.

Realistically, just like the Tigers, the Panthers could have scored quite a few tries tonight if things went slightly differently. Buts that's footy for you.

You definitely can't be happy with some of the ref's calls, which is a shame to tarnish the outcome of the game... it makes you feel disappointed.

But hopefully in other games to come the luck might for once come our way and we'll scrape through with the points.

I'll be happy if the Tigers play like last night's standard for most of the season.

Special mention again to Princey who is a genius with hand and foot.
