Hopefully they don't put Tighe on the wing again!

And Mullen is already in the team so i wonder who will come in if Kurt does pull out?

Anymore news on the possible return of Tolar or Reynoldson?

Reynoldson should definately be right for next week. Possibly this week but in the maingame in the telegraph it said his bid to return for the tigers looked like failing.

On Tolar no change from round 12 ATM.

Reyno ran with the team yesterday and pulled up OK, but Hagan wants to give him another week. Tolar was rumoured to be back this week, but that aint happening, so I'll assume next week? They had a write-up in the paper saying Abes had a great game in premmy last week and should be back soon. I think the writer must've been watching a different game to me, Abes looks a way off yet, had some good touches but is way behind his best ATM. I hope they don't rush him around origin time, saying that though he didn't shirk anything in last weeks game, just not very involved, he needs confidence.

Crikey, so thats Tolar/Perry/Reyno due back next week......

You'd have to send Mullane and Bailey and I'd say Davico will get the chop as well to PL.

To be honest SK82 I wouldn't be surprised if Kidley pulls up ok from tonight, Mullen goes back, and Reyno plays off the bench, who knows?

I doubt that Davico would get the chop...well, I hope he doesn't.

Yeah its great to be able to say that players like Davico who's playing out of his skin at the moment is risking being put back to premmy with the return of our star forwards. He is one of our star forwards.

Our full stength pack would be...

8. Smith
9. Buderus
10. Perry
11. Simpson
12. Newton
13. Reynoldson

14. Woolnough (2nd Row)
15. Tolar (Prop)
16. Davico (Prop)
17. Abraham (Utility)

Hopefully we see that pack soon, though perhaps replace Abraham with Lowrie. Abes is struggling atm and is a fair while from first grade.

I'd probably stick Lowrie in @ Abrahams expense to be honest, I just feel that he provides better cover as he can play virtually anywhere on the paddock.

Davico looks like a rather unnecessary purchase with the calvary due back next week. But with his rate of improvement I am not complaining.

Abraham = Lock, Backrow, Centre, Fullback Top class goal kicker. Lowrie is good but in aint in Daniel sons league yet.

IMO Woolnough is wasted as a second rower, he is a great prop, but seems to only play well off the bench. I would look at starting Abes in front of Reynoldson if both were at their best.

My top pack would be.

8. Smith
9. Buderus
10. Perry
11. Simpson
12. Newton
13. Abes

14. Woolnough
15. Tolar
16. Davico
17. Brown/Lowrie/Reynoldson
I'm still not completely sold on Reyno. He was going well before his recent injury, but he is still a bit too "Lug it up" for me, he needs an off-load, bit of creativity. I think Brown could be our eventual utility, he has been better each first grade game he's had, he has a great off-load, and can get to the line, good step, and can play a few positions. (I like the boy ;-) )

Why?

He'll be one of the top three props at the club after he's got a bit more fitness back.

I'm loving our front-row situation right now.

At the beginning of last year we only had two first-grade standard props in the club in Perry and Woolnough, and at the time Perry was terribly out of form and Woolnough was still finding his feet at the top level.
Fast-forward to 2006 and all of a sudden we have Perry in blistering form, Woolnough who has truly established himself in first-grade, Craig Smith playing the best footy of his career, Dan Tolar who has stamped himself as a quality benchie out of seemingly nowhere, and Luke Davico who from all signs still has what it took for him to be considered an Origin standard player a few years ago.

You can never have too many front-rowers, and it's the sort of go-forward that they provide that has seen Joey thrive and given members of the backline the room to improve out of sight(Quinn, Carmont), become instant successes in the competition(Thaiday, Carney) and in some cases turn back the clock to find some previous form from their glory days(Gidley).

Our depth in the front-row is a major contributing factor as to why we've gone from a complete rabble to a genuine premiership threat in just one season.

There's no hiding you're an Abes tragic Antonius but i'd be very suprised to see him in our starting line up at all this year.

If Reynoldson can keep performing like he has been this year then I think he might even cement the number 13 jersey himself.
