Tiger's In RLWC Squad's

As an Old Tiger and supporter of the NSW Cup team plus a Holy Cross old boy, happy to see Eloni Vunekece get a run in all 3 games for Fiji.

Would have thought the Tigers could get him on their books cheaply and new coaching structure might just find something in the likes of Eloni. Always thought he was out of place in front row and would be better suited in back row like his school boy days. Not a bad player to be nominated in contention for Holy Cross 'team of century' in lock position.

Nothing like getting plenty of forward backup and RLWC experience would be invaluable.

Inns, he was at the Balmain Tigers from 2009 to 2011 then off to France with Toulouse for 2012 and they signed him up again for next season. He came back in the off season and got a run with Wyong Roos.

On the RLWC thread there's a thread about what players would you suggest for the NRL. Some interesting names thrown up but as one person suggested, plenty of guys would have been seen before as they have or are playing in NSW or QLD Cup so would have been seen, my point was (I know you didn't mention this) he could be picked up cheap for NSW Cup team and could be a late bloomer?

Koroibete certainly played very well for Fiji this morning.

Sue also played well for Samoa.

Experience plus for both these guys can only be a positive for Tigers in 2014.

Sue was one of the big surprises this year. He really handled the jump to top grade well imo. Hope he is a starter next year, he should certainly be FAR ahead of Anasta.

Koroibete well he just looks like a freak of nature big, strong and fast so him bursting onto the scene wasn't so surprising. Kinda funny because right now i'm not sure he even has a spot in your starting side. Kinda shows how strong your backs are for next year, at least to me anyway.

Koro will definitely be a star in the future, just has a few things to work on. While his speed and power is bordering on freakish, his ball handling and defensive decisions need improvement.

I short-medium stint in NSW cup will help him improve this and he will be an absolute weapon

Yes unfortunately at the moment his ball handling and defensive decisions are freakish as well. Freakishly bad. Not to say he can't improve those aspects. I imagine his ball handling will always be a bit iffy, but he should be able to improve his positional play significantly.

No question about that. I will say that at times he has shown some really good hands (some pretty damn freakish catches). He just needs some consistency. He certainly looks like he's going to be a damn good player if he can just get it right.

Just hope Kori marks Dariarse and runs over the top of him :)

Rick Stone (coaching Fiji) was on the big sports breakfast this morning saying how Koroibete has been the one that impressed him most in camp. The wolves will be at our door for him soon I think.

Wingers have to be so strong under the high ball these day and Iam afraid Koro is very shaky.I just hope they can get him stronger in that area as theirs no doubt the team needs a draw card/personality like Koro

Ex Leichhardt Wanderers junior - big Kane Evans had a good tournament considering he hasn't made his NRL debut as yet.

Ahhhh, another one the patch brigade didn't rate .

P.S Kane's team mate at the Wanderers for several years was a little fella by the name of Adam Reynolds
