Tigers on the Rep Weekend

I noticed in the Sunday paper that Ayshford scored a try yesterday for BRET so had a look at the team sheet. It wasn't a break for most of the boys and I believe the run will help the lot of them.

Marshall & Blair - NZ - Friday
Groat - NSW U20's SOO - Saturday
Ayshford, BMM and Moors - BRET - Saturday
Farah, Woods, Fulton, Lawrence - City - Sunday.

Moltzen was one guy who I would have made to run around on Saturday but seeing all of the padding on him in the sheds last Sunday, he may have needed to get over those knocks.

They all went well bar the Kiwis...not sure on those with bret
Woods & Farah were awesome, all the city boys had their best games of the year imo

Farah was great in City v Country as was Woods. Really looking forward to see how Aaron develops over the next few years.

Groat was pretty damn good in the U20's game.

Its clear that he is above U20's level and below NRL.

Send him to NSW Cup for a year. f**k I wish reserve grade still existed.

I think the loss of reserve grade hurts a lot of players.

Those in between like Groat and those towards the end of their careers.

It was a sad shame and I was never a fan.

Reggies played the perfect half way point between NRL and unders.

Groat went really well. The bagging he cops is ridiculous. The kid is 20 years old. Props don't hit their straps until 26. He is still a BABY.

Not his fault our coach went into the season two props short and he has been forced to play longer minutes than he should be at this stage in his career.

To me Groat looks like he could be a real weapon. I'd be close to sticking with him in NRL right now.

As for Woods and Farah - they were class and probably both deserve a SOO spot. Despite not being great all year I reckon Lawrence must be close to getting a spot as well.+

Benji and Blair have a lot of work to do.

He shouldn't be starting at this stage of his career, and really should be only seeing about 30 mins on the paddock. But Sheens in his neverending wisdom likes to essentially play with 16 men and started the season a prop or two short and as a result poor Matty is playing far more minutes than he needs to.

Spot on.

Sheens is to blame, not Groat.

Not sure if it was me, but either Miller played poorly, or the NSW 6 was hogging the ball a lot, which kept him out of the game.

Similar thing in the test, Johnson hogged the ball so much that Benji was taken out of the game by his own halfback. Regularly I saw Benji on one side and the ball sent to Johnson who would run it, or put on some play easier to read than a Spot book.

Benji would invariably be flung the ball on the 5th. They shot themselves in the foot the Kiwi's.

Pardon me, but I've been under a rock for a few days. Can someone please tell me, where exactly was Keith Galloway throughout all of this?

Miller played Saturday night as well
yeah, Moller, I forgot him.

yes Charlatan and looking at the game v Penrith I think they can play him as the 17th man but we know Sheens likes to play a reserve back. Ayshford and Meaney will most likely be lost to 1st grade now as Sheens will have Utai in this week.

One thing that impressed me was the way Farah closed it out yesterday, Benji would have tried to score again, just kidding :sarcasm: but he would have 3 weeks ago.

being overshadowed epicly by Aaron Woods.

There's talk that Woods may be playing Origin this year.

Woods was great.

Liam was pretty handy.

Gibbs was also Good.

Robbie, fantastic, I think the referees playing closer attention to the ruck will help his game out.

But did Galloway get a game at all over the weekend? Is he still nursing his foot? Seems odd that he would miss out on another call-up for City unless he's still a little bit brittle...

I think Humble will help Farah's game out. Farah won't have to do all the organising at hooker, it will free him up a bit more creatively which will help his game along bigtime.

When that happens, he manages to get our forwards rolling forward better and we manage to control games better.
