Tigers sign...

Ok I havent seen this confirmed anywhere either - apart from the rumour on the Dogs page. One can only hope...

Covell is not that slow Eddie. If he is so slow and crap, why did he make the NSW residents side?

And for the record - Hazem is not that fast either.

So pray tell, why get rid of an up and coming young winger to sign a slower, older winger on MUCH more money?

This does not make sense from a financial, personnel or club point of view. In fact, it stinks of rank incompetence - which is just about par for the course for the management of this club.

on the lighter side, if in fact he has signed do you think some of the bulldogs supporters would follow us i mean half of them only follow the dogs because el masri is lebanese.

Look i agree with most of what you are saying

But Please NSW residents, Trent Clayton was the bloody hero of that game..........

Its time for new management, they have been around far to long. However last year they made some good buys in Hodgson and Prince.

Ok mate - we'll agree to disagree about Covell. Judging a players talent is very subjective anyway.

Prince and Hodgson were good buys - but there was noone really great on the market this year anyway. Everyone knows we need props - so why have our only signings been backs so far?

If it is actually true, whats the point of buying him for an extra 2 points every now and then, Hodgo is in great form with the boot so I don't see the point, El Masri can't defend for a kebab, everytime he needs to make a tackle, he rushes up and misses leaving 2 or 3 on 1 witht he Centre.... Absoulte shit if we signed him.

We'll need to get a confirm on this one Braz. I did an ask around and was told he isn't signed. But that doesn't mean he won't be.

Hmm, it's an ok signing. I get yappy's point re fiddling while Rome burns. But you can only buy what's on offer. It's obvious we are working for much behind the scenes, so there may be forwards on the way. No need to panic YET.

I'm not supporting Hazem's signature, but:

Mate you're a goose. That's not the first time you've used this to try and point out how exceptional Covell is.

Some other players in the residents side: Luke Dyer, David McLean, Mark Bryant, Kurt Hancock, Adam Capovilla, Cameron Phelps. Know them?

NSW residents are fringe first graders at best. I'm not knocking Luke Covell, but being in that side doesn't mean a whole whole lot.

At least it is one position that does need replacing....we will be losing 2 wingers at years end, probably three.....so its a possy that does require attention.

But jesus christ as everyone here knows...the forwards are our priority....we need go forward first, then backs score tries, then thats where the goalkicker comes into it.
