We should have a couple for New Zealand
Marshall
Halatau
Harrison (doubt it for him though)
Tuiaki (probably another long shot, but if he continues his current form he will make the squad)

Benji is a shoe-in the halves

Halatau is a shoe-in as selectors have favoured when out of form and this year he has been pretty good.
Personally I would have Isaac Luke and Masada Iosefa as the top two hookers.

Tuiaki could make the top 25 or miss out altogether. Plenty of wing options for NZ. Vatuvei a definate with Perett, Nightingale, Cooper Vuna, Inu and Webster.

Harrison will be included in the Top 40. And if he doesn’t make the kiwi top 25 he will get to lineup in the WC opener for the Maori team.
If he wasn’t injured probably would have come close to making the Kiwi team at the start of the year.

Kiwis are supposed to have a trial game some players might be able to enforce their way in.

Oddly, Ben Te'o has been named in the Samoa and New Zealand World Cup sides.

New Zealand reps
Dene Halatau
Bronson Harrison
Benji Marshall
Ben Te'o
Taniela Tuiaki

Marshall I agree with

Halatau is a shoe in for the 25 due to his versatility

Your first Tuiaki sentence is a Gus Gould statement (he has to do one or the other, you can't be wrong). I think that Vatuvei and Nightingale will get the wing spots (both deserve it), but like Halatau, Tuiaki has utility value to get him into the 25.

Harrison I agree with you, I think he will play NZ Maori.

My statement may be a appear to be Gould Statement re:tuiaki.

What I meant was that he could have easily missed out of TOP 49 squad. Some players fall out of favour for various reasons.
Anyway kiwis have Vatuvei, Inu, SKD, Perrett, Nightingale even Vuna – with both Inu and Perrett also being very versatile.

Harrison will come very close to making the team – really depends on how the tigers go in the strech. With Payten likely to be out he probably start the rest of the season.
Hes played good for Kiwis and kiwi A teams before – also he is not flaky like some of the island boys.
He will get in before Tuiaki -

Kiwis will probably have a trial match for fringe selections.
