Do you watch any games. If you think that Smith is ready for First Grade, Then why not throw in Blake Green in aswell. After All, he won the game for us in Jersey Flegg. He must be ready too. For f**k Sake, Witt is doing a fine job, Give him the bloody time fools.

What has that got to do with anything? Potentially he's still a very classy player. We can't just go releasing players willy nilly just because they are inconsistent. The whole side is inconsistent, Witt just needs the others around him to set a better platform.

Damn Straight :D

If he is better he sure isnt showing it in any way shape or form!
I liked Witty but i must say that he plays passive and has a lot to learn whil other young players like Hunt, Head who are the same age -all take control and contribute with confidence- maybe Smithy has taken all his flair, confidence out of him?
Whatever the reason, Witt is not of first grade standard!

just give Witt a decent chance -

halfback is the most important and pressure packed position in Rugby League - and i'm sorry but it is even harder for a 20 year old who has his confidence and flow (of playing consistently in first grade and at halfback) shattered more times than Caylo's arm in the last 2 seasons.......

by the same token......i don't play favourites (like BS ;-) ) - if Tim Smith was given a shot and performed well and consistently - i would be glad to see him given the same opportunity

at the end of the day - i just want someone to be given the opportunity to play halfback (and 5/8) properly and to stand up and be counted for Parramatta's sake

I think Witt would make a good 5/8.
He's big and strong and often stands and offloads in tackles.
He can throw a good pass and is a good kicker.
He'd probably develop into a better player if he had a good no.7 beside him

I dont think we need to continue to turn natural halfbacks into 5/8's cause it doesnt work. Its time to breed a 5/8 from Flegg and use them. For now a ball playing lock would be good such as mateo or another halfback such as green or smith.
