Time for Beau Henry or Kyle Stanley on the bench

With the Berries game coming up and Mr X Factor Ben Barba on their bench; it would be a perfect time for Kyle or Beau to grab a bench spot for us and see what they can do. :sarcasm:

With all the injuries im not sure why Bennett played Prior out wide and left Stanley out,

our forwards and defensive line in general was flat and slow at best on saturday night!

Prior should have been in the forwards and Stanley to right center

does anyone know if Stanley has a prefered side to play on??

No. The TC is well below the NRL standard. I'd like both of those to be given a run at some stage - but not against the Dogs.

Emmett would be better IMO.

I just hope Beau returns sooner rather than later ... :D

Yep Prior played well at centre but we were badly out-muscled in the first 25 minutes and that was always the danger against a very good Manly pack.

Our attack is still off the mark and I would much prefer to see Prior in the pack and a centre (any centre) covering for Beau Scott.

Do remember that all their tries actually came down the Cooper/Morris edge of the field, one was from a Morris slip, one was a double miss (I forget who they were, but they were skittled by the manly centre).

I think this game was lost up-front though.

Agree. One of the tries - the long pass - looked to actually go to the wrong guy too. Morris rushed in - as he does - and the ball sort of looped over them. Williams looked surprised he got - not as much as the 3rd - where it was just pure chance.

With 2 possibles disallowed and so many out etc, I just think its a momentary blip ... ;-)

On a good/fine day with full teams I feel we'd give 'em a good run for their money.

The game was definitely lost up front and Creagh seemed to be dragged in too close to the posts leaving us short on our left edge.

Totally agree with the opening post. Was thinking the same.

It's all well and good to use our forward roll and the players off the bench to continue the momentum when we get in front early and strangle the game away from teams. But when we get behind, we have some serious issues finding that spark to start a comeback.

The game at Brookie sort of reminded me of the Broncos final last season and served as a timely reminder how easy it could be for us to slip straight out of the finals this season again.

Either Stanley or Henry are a must for the number 14 jumper. And as Young fills in at hooker, there is no reason why we can't carry a utility with some flair.

Probably because Stanley was one game back from injury, and in that one game he played rather poorly.

He looked a lot better on Saturday but I still wouldn't be throwing him into first grade just yet

the other thing is, stanley doesn't look as comfortable in the centre's as he does at 5/8, he needs to be in the halves, to be effective, just a thought.

Bennett won't change the starting team. He likes big centres and I don't know if Kyle is ready for NRL defensively.

Beau Henry isn't a bench player - he is a halfback through and through and wouldn't provide much impact IMO. Kyle is an option on the bench but I don't think anyone deserves to be dropped after a 7 and 2 start.

And considering the TC boys have almost the opposite ... :)
