11-a-side is the answer to many of Leagues problems.

Intuitively I'd agree with this, but it must be trialled in a proper competition (u.t. Toyota Cup ), to see what the full ramifications would be for the game as a whole. I think it's easy to see what the benefits that 11 a side would bring, but we have to be alert to the negatives ( and even I will concede that there would likely be some) that would come about.
So, I reckon, lets give it a shot :idea:

There was 8 minutes of 11-a-side in last nights game. Neither team took advantage of the open gaps on the wing..

Admittedly it was only 8 minutes, and it was very wet conditions, but it certainly provided ammunition in favour of those who reckon that 13 or 11 makes no difference.....in which case 11-a-side is cheaper to fund a NRL squad and/or pay star players more.
