Tina loved her Rugby League!
She often remarked that she felt like a football, being kicked about by Ike!!!

Who could ever forget that other rock star forever connected with rugby league .... Billy Idol at the grand final..

My brother was working that day and was on the sideline when it happened. For a moment i thought my brother had bumped something... thank goodness it had nothing to do with him.

I will never get that lead in music out of my head with just the guitar playing....over....and over....and over....and over again.

What a farce.

The newspapers also reported that one year Jimmy Barnes almost got his head cut off by the helicopter he jumped out of. Having obviously watched the game....it wasnt something that jumped out at me.

The helicopter flying in over Stadium Australia with Khe Sahn going in 2001, straight after September 11th, was odd.

Nope, the collapsing tele was 94 or 95 Halftime. Which incidentally, 94 was the best pre-game ento to date IMO, apart from the Hoodoo Guru's in 03 getting 82k to sing "That's My Team" - pity the f**kwit dickheads motherf**kers at Channel 9 made the pre-game show be on at this time

Yep - the Optus Cup.

Dont forget the half time entertainment atthe 89 GF Tigers v Raiders. All the cast from 42nd street, standing around like stale bottles of piss waiting for Mr Music to fire up. He never did. They stood there for 10 minutes before walking off. In the end, somebody forgot to bring the tape!!!!

Nope, not Optus Cup, the launch of Optus Vision, the telco's answer to Foxtel.

I'll never forget that one - the balloons... simply classic. Another 2 m to the left they would've crushed the performers...

 I was there in 03 - the atmosphere during that song was the best i've experienced. Almost everyone in the stadium was singing - it felt like a celebration of the fantastic year.

To be in the middle of it, and singing along, is something I will never forget.
