Serious question, how do you think Souths would be doing if you took out GI, Auva'a, Keary, Reynolds, Sutton and George B from your side last year and replaced them with your 20's 1, 6 and 7? That's effectively what we lost over the pre season, there's no way we can and should be able to keep up the same level of performance from the past 3 seasons.

Serious question, how do you think Souths would be doing if you took out GI, Auva'a, Keary, Reynolds, Sutton and George B from your side last year and replaced them with your 20's 1, 6 and 7? That's effectively what we lost over the pre season, there's no way we can and should be able to keep up the same level of performance from the past 3 seasons.

We have lost D. Walker, Issac and McQueen.

We have no Reyno, Sutto, Tom or Musgrove. They are big losses.

We have Cody and Keary forming a new halves combo currently. We have young Cam at 9 and Hunt replacing Dylan. Hunt is young but the senior guys help him.


Your senior guys ain't helping the younger guys.

Your team looks like a rabble. Zero effort.

If you'd have lost 40-12 it would have looked better.


Rorters were lazy in the off season and on the drink.

You can't just say we are due for a bad year.

Look at Souths under Madge:

2012 top 4
2013 top 4
2014 top 4 and premiership
2015 7th

This season we have started well too!!!! I expect a good season from Souths and a finish between 3rd-7th.

Replace 3/4 of your spine with 3 kids with roughly 20 NRL games between them and see how well you would do. You're kidding yourself if you think it would be any different to us. You guys had GI, Keary, Luke, Walker and McQueen and still got pumped a few times last year.

We lost too much all at once and will pay the price this year. No one else's fault but our own but don't try to make out like we are still the force we have been last 3 seasons. The side is completely different, our left edge only has our winger from the last 3 seasons still there and that was the our go to side in attack more often than not.

You clearly don't understand how our football side operates if you expect Mitchell, Nikorima and Hastings to be at the level RTS, Maloney and Pearce have been last 3 years. RTS ran over 1500m more than any player last year.

I also did not get it when Maloney,RTS,then Jennings left .It rang alarm bells thinking that's a hell of a part of the teams points and strike gone right there,then yeah take out JWH etc and yes the team is definitely different.
We have also lost Isaac,walker,McQueen,Stewart,Grant plus more so I totally understand
I'm still rapt with how souths are looking ATM working as a complete unit even in defence and fit and hungry
SAMs influence is unmistakable and priceless

The management at our club got it wrong by letting half the spine and our strike weapon outside walk, replacing them with kids from the 20's. That doesn't explain the poor attitude but, there's no confidence or attitude to get back our structures because the main players aren't there to provide the experience to these kids. We had that in abundance last 3 years.

We'll be fine when we get Pearce, Cordner and JWH(our Sam like figure)back but until then it'll be a steep learning curve for our halves if the pack that's left continues to not put in, a tendency we've been guilty of over the last few years but this time the quality isnt there to get us out of jail.

Taking out the spiritual leaders in Samandnsutton would have even worse ramifications.
