Tipping Comps

Just wondered what others do in tipping comps with Sharks games.
I always tip them. No matter who they're playing.
Even when there's prizemoney involved I always tip them.
Just couldn't stand to not be on them and they get up.

Head or heart - the classic conundrum.

I used to always tip them. but there was this one game i thought id be realistic and tip against us, but we ended up winning.

so i now never ever tip against us. it doesnt do to well for my score though

Yeah i always tip the Sharks......

If I ever tipped against them and they won I would never ever be able to forgive myself......

i tip agianst them if im not 100% sure. that way its a win/win situation.

Most of the time I tip them, especially at this time of year when form isn't really known. But, I'm also a realist and if we have major players out and playing a red hot team at their ground, then I may tip against them...

My logic is that If I tip against them and they win, I'm still happy because I thought we had no hope. If I tip against them and they lose, well... Like 5LC said, I'm still a winner... it's a win-win situation ;-)

In tipping comps its your own team that will hurt you the most......

I have won tipping competition by picking the Sharks ie 1999. It was good to be supporting a regular semi final side.

Now the Sharks seem to be going though a lean period, tipping them is more problematic. I think I started tipping against them on occassion in 2003. They were that bad it was foolish to tip them.

If you stick to your own team you will never win a comp, loyalty in tipping comps kills you.

I have a mate loyal panther supporter in the year panthers got spoon took them every match, it killed him had he not, he would have gone close to winning, this year he hasnt touched them and ouch he has benn hit again in reverse

Tip with the head only. If you're going in a comp you must be going in it to win it so you may as well tip the team you think will actually win the footy game.

If I was going to tip with my heart I'd tip against the Sharks every week because I am superstitious and I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than consistently let down.

There's a guy at work who tips Souths every week regardless.
Suffice to say he has never come close to winning it.

Hurts me to say but I think I will be tipping Manly this week.

i would be tipping the sharks, beacsue i heard there is this crew of people heading together on a bus and they will be in force, joingin with other sharks fans to cheer the boys, bigger and louder than last week!:lol:


but in all seriousness, youve got to tip with your head. and there are so many things to consider, injuries, form, how many creampuffs in the sides, the list is endless.

I cant bring myself to tip against them.....it is only money.

And like someone else here mentioned I once won a tipping comp because of them..in the final round when they won unexpectedly....ONCE!!!!!

Meanwhile I lost the fuggen tipping comp last year cause those bastards lost to Souths and the guy coming second was a Souths Supporter.

Was not amused.

I usually tip with my head but sometimes with the heart as well.

Not tipping them this week though.

I tip the Sharks unless I just cannot imagine them winning like when jarrod anderson, milford and the likes were in our team

Can't remember the last time i tipped against the Sharks. I came 4th out of about 20 in last years tipping comp at work and would have made a bit of money had i come top 3. When the Sharks are winning, i'm winning...
