I'm tipping Lebanon to lift their game with a good crowd behind them and beat France by 8 points.
Hasam El-Masri man of the match of course.

why the Australian Lebanese partisan?
you will actually find that a number of the players that have represented the Cedars in the Medditteranean Cup are from the Lebanese domestic competition.
whether they will be used for the final or not is unknown but all the same the players qualify to represent Lebanon through the parent/grandparent rule so why the criticism.
and unlike other teams such as Ireland who fielded players such as Ricketson the Lebanese from Australia picked to represent the Cedars have true pride in their jersey and a strong cultural heritage.
all other codes to knowledge utilise the grandparent rule, and the residence rule on another matter, so therefore i think the Lebanese have the right to be called simply Lebanon.

plus the fact that over half the players were actually born in lebanon means that this truely is a lebanese team

Almost all of them are Lebanese Citizens too.
France by 8 for me but i hope the mighty Cedars will win... The crowd is expected to be between the 5-10 thousand mark.

exactly the lebanese team is more of a national team than some of those yawnion world cup squads going around at the moment

In what should be a fantastic match I think the French will just edge out the Lebanese.

I cant wait to see the Cup next year, when Greece and Italy are added and hopefully we will see both France and Lebanon enter there best sides. Going through all the players that could have been playing for Lebanon at the this tournament, they could easily push any international side on their day. Players like Hassan Saleh, Ahmed Bajouri, Monah Elamad, Michael Coorey, Robbie Farah, Frank Samia and Bilal Najarrin, coupled with the likes of Hazem and others they could put up a real fight.

For the time being though it is great to see local players getting the chance to represent their countries and I the Final should be an absolute cracker.

It is not so much a criticism but a concern. I accept and appreciate all the constructive criticism from all but I hope the Lebanese trailblazers are doing LOTS behind the scenes so the domestic players will slowly dominate the team in future years. Just seems a little unfair that because your country has a large player pool from other countries you can smash opposition that does not have the same luxury. For the games against other developing nations (especially the newer ones) I would like to think the team would be dominated by domestic players with expats on board to steer the ship / guide the players around and coach on field.
