Greg Bird & Dave Taylor have been served with notice to appear in court regarding the same matter as Karmichael Hunt and their Titans compatriots Beau Falloon and Jamie Dowling
Bad news for the NRL and the Titans
Can't seem to paste link on my phone sorry
Guardian tweeting it now with relevant article

This saga is not over yet. Quite a few still to be charged (I know of 3 others) but are all ex-players but big names.
This is worse than ASADA in my view

Enormous pressure now on Dave Smith and the NRL as to what to do with a basket case that is the Titans !!!
With the comp starting in a fortnight , they will have little or no choice to persevere with the Club this year , but serious thought will now be given to a different entity on the Coast or possibly a 2nd side in Brisbane as early as next year

Titans...no cash, no sponsors, no players. Sadly, a basket case.

You have to wonder why they've been targeted for investigation when the general community is awash with drugs. You'd also wonder if it's a case of someone scoring for himself and his mates rather than some insidious drug ring.
I don't use drugs or condone their use but it seems sports people cop a lot of attention as opposed to other work places.
This will likely destroy the club.

I dont think sports people cop additional attention from police or investigators. They cop additional attention from the media. Thousands of people get bunged with these charges every year, but noone cares!

Comes with the job.

If Bird is involved it couldn't happen to a better p**ck IMO & should be the end of his career
Time to bring in another Brisbane team & get rid of the Titans.

It's funny u know last night I was telling my missus about the cocaine story at the Titans whilst Greg Bird & Dave Taylor were saying "no comment" on the TV . I immediately said to the missus I'm surprised that grub is not involved in this saga. Then I find out 2day he is ..... Not at all surprised if anyone should be removed from the game Greg Bird should be at the top of the list never to return

The culling of these idiots may be just what the Titans need to sort their club out.

I think the NRL will persist with a team on the Gold Coast. They surely can't walk away again, they already have twice before with the Giants and Seagulls.

I agree.

That's about 1 mill of cap that (I assume) will be free. An opportunity to improve their weaknesses.

And no way the NRL will allow GC to fall. They won't let the Suns have the city to themselves.
