Depending who will actually play this weekend for us. i actually think we are a decent chance of winning up at skilled this weekend. i watched the titans against the sharks on the weekend and they did not look at all impressive,
I honestly hope Gibbs is outed for the year, really growing tired of all his dumb plays after dumb plays.
Wouldnt mind seeing Josh Lewis get a run mainly due to his kicking game which i think would release alot of pressure on robbie's kicking game which over the last few weeks has been a little out of sorts. I think Lui has a big future just not at the moment with our season on the line. Its to tough to bring in a rookie so late in the year when we need to win all our games.
Would like to see Laurie get a start providing it aint 30 plus degrees there on saturday early evening. I think if the weather is hot it will completely drain him out and he will have no impact what so ever

Your thoughts?

Eddie.

Layne Dorrie, what a flop he has been this yr.

By all reports half our team is banged up. Titans are not in the Top 4 for no reason. Some Tigers fans are pretty delousional. This "We can beat anyone on our day" crap which the players at WT regular say doesn't wash.

For the past 3 seasons we have beaten the bottom feeders and lost to just about everyone above us. Throw in a couple of close losses to the teams around us and its 9th-11th every yr. Against the current teams above us we are 4 from 11. Against the teams below us we are 7 from 10.

The curtain will come down on us at Skilled in a 4 point loss. And 40% of Tigers fans will claim we were the better team.

I think we're in for a severe bout of deja vu.

2000 - 2004 and 2006 - 2008 revisited.

I doubt he'll give Lewis a go, I'd like to see Moltzen back at 7 but I don't think that'll happen either because he won't bring a lower gade Fullback in for an important game like this.

I dunno what his thinking will be but I'd like to see Laurie there, if for no other reason that to give the Tits something to think about.

The Titans were only average because Prince had a pretty ordinary game.

If Benji plays like he did last time around, we'll do them and do them well. Games between these two sides are always up for grabs and hard to predict. Shame we lost Tuiaki, such a big player for us.

I was quietly confident about this game as long as the Titans got thier top 4 spot guarenteed. Once we got our spot in 2005 we lost both our last 2 games as the mind had turned to finals football and I'm thinking the Titans will be in the same boat, they will hear all week about playing finals football and having a home Semi.

What I didn't take into account was the injury toll we copped from the Eels game (who the f*** gets 2 wingers injured in the one game, they're f***ing WINGERS) so I'd be interested to see what Sheens does and who is and who isn't named, from the sound of things it's unlikely that the 17 named will be the 17 that play.

There is a centre for wests maggies with legs like tree stumps.. cant remember his name ? And Akaripa im sure one of them could easily fill a spot in the centres or wing, they are a lot tougher i reckon compared to u20 players. Any thoughts ?

Rhys Pritchard ?

Him and Josh Davis are the centre pairing for the Mag's. Pritchard represented the NSW Residents team against QLD. I think I've seen him play once before and seems pretty capable.

Hmmm could be Josh Davis im thinking of, the one if its him stood out to be solid as a brick shyte house and tended to do a tnt and run over defenders and not around them. And from what ive seen of Akeripa he looks strong and mobile and has plenty of skill and wouldnt look out of place in the Nrl. Im sure others here may know plenty more about them than me tho.

Those ARE fair comments. However, I think we are playing a LOT better this year than we have in the previous three seasons. Friday night was close to the game of the season. If we maintain that intensity, it will be the Titans who will have to rise to our level, not vice versa. I suppose one of the team's problems is that we only seem to play as well as our opposition.

Moltzen needs to be in the halves with Marshall - he should have been there against the Eels, but Sheens was trying to prove to the world he was right about Moltzen being a better fullback than Gallant based on 1 performance against the team running 2nd last.

Laurie would be in my team EVERY week off the bench, despite all the brave souls that like to call him names from behind their computer screens. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their right to express it, but to call him names etc (I remember someone calling him a "big haired idiot" etc) is not only juvenile but weak imo.
