That Hape fellow is pretty damn good.

I was very impressed by his performance tonight.

Ive always been impressed by him whenever Ive seen him in a Kiwi jersey, for someone that dont get many raps he goes f**kn OK,
On the other hand, a player that gets raps year after year after f**king year but DONT deliver is keith Senior...this guys a myth.

Was quiet in the second half but a real handful in the opening 20 minutes. A tremendous effort to score that first try. A good move by NZ to bring him into the squad and he looks bigger, stronger and in better form then the last few tri-nations I've seen him in.

Well they dont get any better with these test matches, I was jumping for joy when Gasnier scored, it just shows the never say die attitude in the Australian. Its been happenin for years, I did have a gut feeling when Jones kicked that field goal that it wasnt all over yet. How good is Greg Inglis, he must be the best athlete in any football code. I thought they had a lot of chances in the first half, and mostly the second half. Too many mistakes nearly cost them the game. But they got there in the end, and have finally won in the southern capital in their 3rd attempt.

Ive gotta say that Klein, I dunno how they rate him, he probably couldnt crack it in the NRL again an ordinary performance, and despite the fact he really is an Aussie, he puts on a Pommy accent. Even the Pommy fans reckon Ganson or some other ref are better.

To the Kiwis lift your head up, that was a great effort. Hape, Cayless, Blair played well, but once again just couldnt handle the Australian fightback. Its not over yet, its up for anyone, but if New Zealand lose another game its all over for them.

Test matches are alive and have been for the last 3 years, this Tri Nations has brought back the best in International football.

30,000 was the crowd, but it seemed like there was more. Not too bad, wouldve been happy with 5,000-10,000 more but reducing the capacity didnt help much. Perhaps next time they play a test in Melbourne they'll play at the newly developed one.

Good game overall, lookin forward to the next test. :D

I think the new one will only seat 20,000 though

The Kiwis first choice left side centre/wing combination would be Hape-Vainikolo. They partner each other week in week out for Bradford. Vainikolo was ruled out with surgery though.

I thought it was a scrappy game, but put that down to the intensity with which it was played. Kiwis gave it everything and probably deserved the win. All in all, it bodes very well for the future of the game. If keep seeing games as physical as this, I can honestly see International footy supplanting Origin as the supposed pinnacle of the game. I think it's getting read to go past it in terms of intensity - let's just hope the media and general public realise when it does.

Also, how good was Soliola? I can see where the comparisons to big Mal came from after tonight's game. He was outstanding and given his age has a massive future if he can reproduce that form consistently. f**king man mountain as well, it's ridiculous.

Agree with Ink, good spectacle, average match. As salivor said it was similar to Origin 3, except with Origin 3 I felt prouder to of won the game. This game just frustrated me for the opening 70 minutes with how disjointed the Australian attack was and the amount of penalties blown by Klein who dead set needs to be sent back to England, even Russell Smith could of done a better job.

Again good games Kiwis, and good luck next week.

Once again the great Inglis stood up :)
Before that game didn't look too good at all, our attack totally fell apart and we just never got enough ball in the Kiwi's half.

How good is Lockyer?. He handled in all of Australia's tries last night (and what should have been another). I don't think anyone from NZ of GB fan can relax for a second while he's still on the field. He'll engineer something to beat you now matter how far behind Aus is. The ultimate go to man.
