After having to stop and start a few times due to personal issues and sim drama, here I am with my new TNA BTB. We're starting things off with the January 4th edition of Raw. I've kept the roster as it was at the end of December, with one notable exception being that Cody Deaner was fired in place of Sheik Abdul Bashir following Feast or Fired.

Here's how Final Resolution planned out, changes to the real life results in bold.

TNA Final Resolution, December 20th, 2009

The Motor City Machine Guns defeated. The British Invasion (c) to become TNA World Tag Champions

Tara defeated ODB (c) to become TNA Knockouts Champion

In Feast or Fired: Kevin Nash, Cody Deaner, Samoa Joe, and Homicide defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir, Rob Terry, Robert Roode, James Storm, Eric Young, Kiyoshi, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed.
#1 – Samoa Joe receives a World Title shot
#2 – Kevin Nash receives a TNA Tag Title shot
#3 – Homicide receives a TNA X-Division title shot
#4 – Cody Deaner is fired

Matt Morgan, Hernandez, D’Angelo Dinero, and Suicide defeated. Rhino, Jesse Neal, and Team 3-D in an Elimination Tag match.

Lashley defeated Scott Steiner in a Last Man Standing match.

Abyss & Mick Foley defeated. Raven & Dr. Stevie in a Foley’s House of Fun match.

Kurt Angle defeated. Desmond Wolfe in a 2/3 Falls match.

AJ Styles (c) defeated Daniels to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Title

Current Champions
TNA World Heavyweight: AJ Styles
TNA X-Division: Amazing Red
TNA Global: Eric Young
TNA World Tag: The Motor City Machine Guns
IGPW World Tag: Team 3-D
TNA Knockouts: Tara
TNA Knockouts Tag: Sarita & Taylor Wilde

Without further ado, here's how January 4th played out. Remember, none of the big new names had debuted yet at this point - although Hogan's arrival had been advertised heading into the one off, Monday night special.

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome the fans at home to a live edition of Impact, reminding us that this has been year's in the making and that TNA is taking the war to the WWE. They hype tonight's card - Hulk Hogan will be making his return to wrestling, and we'll get fall-out from TNA's Final Resolution.

Segment One: Competition at the Top
The first surprise of the night is first up, as Eric Bischoff swaggers down to the ring. The fans are cheering the former WCW supremo as he steps into the ring and talks about all of the potential he sees in TNA. He pays lip service to the X-Division, the Knockouts, and to the stars who built the company.

He's also got big plans in mind. He's going to push hard for the move to Monday night's to be permanent. He wants to bring in world class talent from around the world, he wants to be an alternative, and he wants to make TNA #1.

Some unfamiliar music hits, and the roof comes off as Paul Heyman appears at the head of the ramp.

"Talent from around the world. Presenting an alternative... the sounds like something ECW did and WCW stole."

Bischoff wants to know why Heyman is here, and Heyman informs him that Bischoff wasn't the only consultant Dixie hired. She doesn't believe taking down the WWE will be easy, and so she's brought two of the brightest wrestling minds in the business together.

Bischoff is outraged. He refuses to work with Heyman. Heyman grins and says he'll have to deal with it. They'll both have 50% say in how things run around here.

RATING: 84%

Segment Two: Amazing Red (c) vs. Doug Williams vs. Suicide vs. Jay Lethal for the X-Division Title

Before the match, we get a video package highlighting the style and history of the X-Division. Special attention is paid to the Ultimate X match, and pioneers such as Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. They finish it up talking about how AJ Styles came from the X-Division, and how the current breed could produce the next TNA Champion.

This is a fast paced match with plenty of near falls and plenty of action. Red and Williams start things out, and it's the bigger British man controlling things until Red can make the hot tag out to Lethal. Lethal controls things pretty well against the former World Elite member, who is caught unawares when Suicide gets a blind tag on him and knocks Lethal down with a springboard dropkick for the 1-2-3.

With Lethal out, Red takes it upon himself to enter with a top rope bulldog to the surprised masked man. He follows it up with a Red Star Press, but Suicide rolls away and tags out to Williams. Williams attempts a clothesline, but Red ducks and responds with a dropkick. Williams staggers up into a Red Eye attempt, but blocks it and responds with a Northern Lights Suplex for two. Red shows a lot of guts to kick out. He's whipped to the corner and Williams is going to attempt Chaos Theory, but he doesn't see that Suicide tagged himself in. He crushes the champion with a brutal German suplex, but the referee isn't counting. Williams is arguing, and Suicide hits him with the Wave of the Future.

Kickout!

Williams collects Suicide with a European uppercut and quickly tags out to Red. Red ducks underneath a clothesline, leap frogs another attempt, and then sends Suicide into the corner with an arm-drag. He collides with Williams, and Red catches him with Code Red for the 1-2-3.

Williams hits the ring at speed and demolishes the champion with a clothesline. He goes to the top and launches off in an attempt to hit Bombs Away, but Red's rolled aside. He's up top and hits Infrared for the 1-2-3 and a successful title defence.

WINNER AND STILL X-DIVISION CHAMPION: Amazing Red by pinfall (Infrared on Doug Williams)
MATCH RATING: 82%
CROWD REACTION: 68%

I'm sure ego would have a lot to do with it. I'm not having to deal with the likes of Hogan and Hall telling me what they will and won't do, and who they will and won't allow to be put over.
