Dixie Carter of TNA would like to introduce their new head writer, DB, who replaces Vince Russo in this position. Russo will remain as a writer on TNA, but has been demoted due to popular demand by those in the company and due to many of the fan's vocal opinions of how he is writing for the company. DB will start almost instantly, with TNA's first show of 2008 in a couple of days time on Thursday the 3rd of January.

Good to see you bringing in Danielson and El Hijo. Do you know much about either of them? El Hijo is an absolute legend in lucha libre, so he's a great guy to bring in as a flagship performer for the X-Division.

Danielson... the best wrestler on earth after Samoa Joe, I think. Looking forward to when they inevitably clash.

Danielson has also beaten Joe before, which poses another interesting angle. Looks good so far, however you kind of havent followed storyline at all, i.e. Sting isnt meant to have resigned for TNA yet (early December his contract had expired and hadnt wrestled since Genesis), Angle was fueding with Nash etc. But looks good. And El Hijo is a massive signing. Youtube his name.

I didn't want to follow the TNA real storylines, so I have made up my own stuff for the show, I know some people have followed on and finished up the current storylines in the real world, but i chose to make up my own fueds and storylines etc.

- TNA would like to announce the signing of both Jay and Mark Briscoes, better known as The Briscoe from most notably Ring of Honor. Both at the age of 23 have vast experience from the many independent promotions that they have worked for, and will add so much to the Tag team division in TNA.
- TNA have also pounced on lost WWE talent by signing DH Smith, Beth Phoenix and COdy Rhodes to written contracts. In the massive offloading of talent by WWE, TNA felt that these wrestlers were the pick of the rejects, so to speak. It is said that Rhodes and Smith may be working an angle together, along with Nattie Neidhart, still yet to make her debut for TNA.
-WWE Raw and ECW got rating of 6.81 and 3.60 respectively for their most recent episodes.

Segment 1:
Jim Cornette is walking backstage, where Christian Cage approaches him.
CC- Jim, you have to do something. I was attacked last week by some unknown jerk, and I want you to find out who it is, so I can lay the smack down on that fool.
JC- Well I’m sorry Christian but your problem has to take second fiddle for the moment. Guess where I am off to at this moment? Come on just ask.
CC- Okay…… Where are you off to?
JC- Funny you should ask, I am off to become the welcoming committee for TNA’s latest signing.
CC- Is it Sydal?
JC- No.
CC- Briscoe’s? Rhodes? Smith? Beth?
JC- No it’s none of these. You just have to wait and see. And if you VKM, tell them they have a match against The Briscoe’s coming up.

Segment 2:
We are shown backstage with Christy Hemme.
CH- I am here with two of the new acquisitions of TNA. They are DH Smith and Cody Rhodes.
(Small pop from the crowd)
CR- Thanks Christy. We are DH Smith and Cody Rhodes. We have wrestling in our blood. We have both come from rich wrestling families, and were born to wrestle.

CR- Peace out, and tell your boys Christy, we are coming for them.

A good second show. I like that your format is very easy to read, with quotes to break stuff up.

Just one thing on WWE talent you're bringing in. To keep it realistic, I'd suggest trying not to use names that are copyrighted by the WWE (such as DH Smith. His name is Harry Smith).

Some good and some bad in that match. I saw a few too many WWE names in the card for so early in the diary, but it's your story, so I'll let you tell it. Good to see some local guys going over.

TNA iMPACT!
Thursday 17/01/2008

Video recaps Final Resolution from last sunday.

Segment 1:
Joe makes his way to the ring. He looks pissed off.
Joe- I am here as the #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight CHampionship, when I should be champion. Clearly last night I had the match won, but Kurt Angle had to resort to cheating tactics to keep his title. I won the match, but by DQ, so I am not champion. That is why I am out here tonight. I am challenging you Kurt to a rematch of sorts tonight. It will be me vs you, same outcome- a Samoa Joe win, but not by DQ, and a new TNA World Champion. And why don't we make it an I Quit match, you scared Kurt.
Kurt then makes his way to the ring.
Kurt- Joe, Joe, Joe, how are you? You look a little red in the face. Now let me clear up a couple of things. Firstly, I did what I had to do to win that match. If you were in my situation, you would do the exact same thing. This title means everything to me, and do not think for one second I would let you take my pride and joy off of me. And secondly, How dare you call me scared. I won an Olympic gold medal with a broken neck... a fricken broken neck, and you think I am scared of a jerk like you. That match you were offering... You're on. I will make you quit as soon as the ankle lock is put on. Oh Joe, the vision of you walking out as champ is so far from the truth it ain't funny. Byt seeing me walking out is true... its damn true.

Segment 2.

Bryan Danielson beat Shark Boy with the Cattle Mutilation.

Segment 3.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are in the locker room.
Chris- Now Alex, do you know what tonight is? It is the biggest night in the Motor City machine Guns brief history. We get a chance to take the titles off of LAX faster than they won them last sunday.
Alex- I know, now here is my plan. You see we have to...
Jim Cornette walks in.
Jim- Sorry boys, I hate to tell you this but your Tag Team Championship match for tonight has been cancelled. But never fear, I'll put you in a match next week for the gold. So on next weeks iMPACT! it will be The Motor City Machine Guns vs LAX..... vs The Br iscoe Brothers..... vs the team of Elix Skipper and Low Ki, XXX. And how about we make it a TLC match. Peace out boys.
Chris and Alex look at each other while Jim walks out.

Segment 4.

Amazing Kong beat the debuting Nattie Neidhart with the Amazing Press.
Gail Kim then failed in a run in on Kong.

Segment 5

Abyss is backstage, with a man with his back to the camera. The man turns around and it is Paul Bearer. Large pop for him
Paul-
So this is TNA! I am hear to provide guidance for my latest monster. (Looks at Abyss) He is a wrecking ball of destruction and next up, poor old Elix Skipper will find out what happens when you cross the paths of The Monstor Abyss.

Segment 6

Abyss beats Elix Skipper
with the Black Hole Slam

Segment 7

Low Ki beats Booker T, due to outside interference by Raven. Raven continued the assault on Booker after the match, where security needed to come to the ring to pull Raven off Booker.

Segment 8

Sting is backstage for an interview.
Sting- Christian Cage. Last Sunday at Final Resolution, clap to you. You beat me fair and square. You escaped the cage, and I tip my hat to you. But a loss for me is not good enough. I want to go up 1 on 1 again with you. Lets do it Cage. You vs The Icon, at Against All Odds, but this time in a Hell in a Cell. There will be no escaping the wrath of Sting. Its up to you. I expect your answer on next weeks iMPACT!.

Segment 9

AJ Styles and Tomko beat VKM with Tomko hitting the Argentine Neckbreaker

Segment 10

The Angle Alliance are sitting backstage.

Karen
- Are you ready Kurt?
AJ- Yeah Kurt, you ready?
Kurt- Both of you sound like that you think I will lose. I was born ready. I am an Olympic Champion God Dammit. I will not lose to a guy from somewhere in the pacific.
AJ- Well Kut just know, If you need me, I have your back.
Kurt- Thanks, but I don't think I will need it.

Ouch. Those are two high profile losses, and I'm pleased to see it. It sucks for you short term, but it means you'll have to work harder to get two other guys over and establish some of your own stars.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I actually tried to sign Christian to a written deal, but his price was too high, so I left it.
