I don't see any problem with them losing upon their debut. They're an established team in ROH, but you need to remember that the average wrestling fan has no idea who they are or what they've achieved in ROH. It makes perfect sense for them to have a low key entry into the company.

TNA iMPACT!
31/01/2008

Video recap of two weeks ago, when a botched interference cost Kurt Angle his TNA World Heavyweight Championship. This leads into Angle challenging AJ Styles to a match, with a win for AJ meaning he would have to leave The Angle Alliance. Pictures of Kurt’s win over AJ are shown, and the subsequent handshake between the two.

Segment 1
Mike:
Welcome one and all to Orlando, Florida for the last TNA iMPACT! in January. And what a night we have. Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle are in action tonight, both scheduled to take on Rellik and Chris Harris respectively, plus Booker T and Raven go head to head, and we hear from Rhino why he attacked Sting after their victory in their tag match against Voodoo Kin Mafia.

Samoa Joe’s music hits and the champ makes his way to the ring.

Don: But hear comes Samoa Joe, and I hope Rellik can beat him tonight. I’m sick of this boring champion. Next please.
Mike: Joe is one of the most charismatic, and also talented champion that we’ve had Don.
Don- Talented? He only won the title because of a miscommunication between AJ Styles and Kurt Angle.
Mike- Whatever.

Joe- Know a lot of you are saying I am the accidental champion. I got lucky in my TNA World Heavyweight Championship match. But that is sometimes all you need in life. All you need is a bit of luck, and things can go your way. With that being said, I am the rightful champion, and I want to prove that. So at Against All Odds, I want you Kurt. I want to verse you so I know I am the rightful champion.
At that moment, the Angle Alliance hit the ring.
Kurt-
Joe, I accept your challenge… but I will tell you this. If myself personally puts one finger on you before Against All Odds, you pick the match. But if you, so help you lay one of your dirty fingers on me, than I get to pick the match, and you do not want that happening punk. Catch ya later Joe.
Kurt, and his Alliance leave the ring and head up the ramp. They stop; Kurt whispers something to AJ Styles and Tomko. They run back to the ring and the lights go out. When the lights come back on, Angle Alliance are nowhere to be seen, and Samoa Joe is lying in the ring, absolutely covered in blood. Rating 94%

Mike- Wow, How about that Don? If either Kurt or Joe lay a finger on each other, then the opponent can pick the stipulation in their championship match at Against All Odds.
Don- Lets just hope Joe can keep his filthy hands off of the rightful champion Kurt Angle.

Segment 2

Mike-
I have just got news that the match between Samoa Joe and Rellik has been cancelled due to the attack on Joe just before, but enough about that here is the first match of the night. And here come ‘The Monster’ Abyss, with his new manager Paul Bearer. And poor Austin Creed, Abyss’ opponent for tonight.
Don- I think Creed will win, he has everything, the looks, speed and strength that you want in a wrestler. I think Bearer is wasting his time with Abyss, he should be focussing on talented wrestlers like Creed.
Mike- Don, Shut up.

Abyss vs. Austin Creed

Mike- What were you saying Don?

Segment 3

Paul Bearer stays in the ring with Abyss.

Paul-
And the winner again is Abyss. My monster Abyss has beaten two players in the X Division field in the past three weeks. Why does he take on these guys, you may ask. He is superior in size, in strength, and good looks you say. Well it is because he, The Monster Abyss wants to be X Division Champion. So on at Against All Odds, We are hereby issuing a challenge to Rob Van Dam. We want your title. Rating 76%

Christy-
Christy Hemme here, and I am with the number one contender to Rob Van Dam’s X Division Title, Bryan Danielson. Now Bryan, Abyss has made a challenge to RVD for his X Division title. What do you say about that?
Bryan- Well, Abyss may have beaten two wrestlers, and think he is all that. But I beat 29 other wrestlers to claim mine number one contendership, and I do recall yourself being in that match. But enough about Abyss. Rob, last week after I beat Sonjay Dutt, you hit me with a Five Star Splash. Now I take that as a challenge to me. So in the next match it is yourself, Rob Van Dam, verses… myself Bryan Danielson, and if I win, it is you verses me at Against All Odds for your title. Catch you in the ring. ………. Christy (Dips his head at Christy, she blushes)

TNA iMPACT!
7/02/2008

Video shows Samoa Joe, his challenge to Kurt Angle, and Angle’s response if they put a hand on each other than the opponent gets to pick what king of match they will have at Against All Odds. The Angle Alliance’s assault on Joe last week is then shown, and a bandaged up Joe putting Kurt in the Coquina Clutch, causing Angle to lose his match to Chris Harris. We are left with Kurt announcing the match was a guest referee match, with Kurt’s wife Karen the ref.

Mike- And good evening everyone to Orlando Florida for TNA iMPACT! and what a main event we have tonight. It is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe, taking on the former TNA Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Tomko. We will also be seeing LAX putting their titles on the line against The Motor City Machine Guns.
Don- And do not forget The Kings of Wrestling taking on XXX to keep their contract hopes alive.
Mike- But here comes the champ, Samoa Joe.
Joe walks out bandaged up from last weeks assault.

Segment 1:
Joe-
Now, many of you will remember what happened to me last week. If you don’t, here is a clip to refresh your memory. (Clip is shown of his assault) I was given a challenge before this assault not to lay my hands on Kurt Angle. Well after what he did to me, I could not resist. I got that son of a bitch, and gave him what he deserves. Then he tries to put me off my match by making it a guest referee match, with his wife Karen as the referee. Don’t think for one second Kurt that is going to put me off giving you the beating of a lifetime. I am the champion god dammit. But Kurt, why wait for Against All Odds, lets do it now. You me and your ‘really good looking’ wife and we have ourselves a title match, right here right now.
This brings out Kurt Angle.Kurt- Joe shut the hell up. How dare you call my wife unattractive… and challenge me to a match. I know what you are up to. I have not used my rematch clause yet, so by taking you on tonight I won’t get to verse you at Against All Odds. Get real Joe. I would rather watch you take on Styles and Tomko in a handicap match tonight, and allow myself time to get prepared for this Sunday I will become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion again. And this Sunday, I don’t just have god on my side; I also have the ref. So Joe, prepare to lose your title to the only Olympic Gold medallist on TNA… KURT ANGLE. And good luck tonight. Rating 74%

Segment 2
Paul Bearer is backstage with Abyss
Paul-
Last week we made a challenge to X Division Champion Rob Van Dam. My monster Abyss wanted to take him on in a match at Against All Odds. Well that blew up in our face. So tonight and every night until we get an X Division championship shot, we will be playing what we like to call X Division Bingo. What our game consists of is a simple game of bingo. I will pull a name out of the barrel, of someone in the X Division and they will take on Abyss. So everyone get their cards ready… the first competitor is… Matt Sydal. See you in the ring later Matt. ODB just regains consciousness and realises what has happened when Jim Cornette appears on the big screen.

Christy
- Christy Hemme here, and I am with Raven. Now Raven during last weeks match with Booker T, his wife Sharmell distracted you, causing you to lose to Booker T. What do you have to say for that?

Before the referee rings the bell, Jim Cornette comes onto the stage.
Jim-
LAX and The Motor City Machine Guns. Tonight, as you know you will be in a cage match. Now there has been some confusion backstage. Both teams seem to think all you need is one person to climb the out of the cage to win the match. Well I will tell you this. In tonight’s match, the winning team needs to get both members of their team out of the cage. Good luck guys.

Mike
- And we have some new TNA Tag Team Champions.
Don- But they had to do it with some help from, who I suspect to be Shelly Martinez, formerly known as Ariel. The Motor City Machine Guns are a bunch of jokers. They can only win after Martinez interferes in their match.
Mike- I think they had actually done enough in the match to win. But anyway, we got backstage with Christy Hemme.

Segment 4
Christy-
Thanks guys. I am backstage with X Division Champion Rob Van Dam. Now Rob, how do you feel coming up against Bryan Danielson tonight.
Rob- Well Babe… if I can call you that.

Rob-
I have been against some of the best in the industry. I come up against a man that it touted the best in the industry. But he has not had the full experience of versing the MAIN EVENT… ROB… VAN….. DAM. You better be ready Bryan, cause our match is next. See you later Bryan. (Then turns to Christy)… You too… Babe.

Segment 5
Mike-
How about that? I think that is a strong challenge to Danielson, and I think he may have an answer to it.

Don
- Now we will see the answer I think Mike.

But anyway thanks for watching TNA Against All Odds. We will see you on Thursday for iMPACT! From Orlando, Florida I am Mike Tenay, and He is Don West. And Good Night all.

I'm surprised and happy to see Samoa Joe with the gold, and it will be interesting to see where you'll take things from here.

I can't say I agree with the Briscoe Brothers going over, especially after they made such a weak debut not so long ago. Would have made more sense to let The Steiners, Team 3-D (given their history with the champions), or even Styles and Tomko go over.

Also a bit baffled by Danielson beating Van Dam. The belt's changed hands twice (I think) in a short hand, and while Danielson is a tremendous worker - I think Van Dam would be a better option to carry your division. He's got market value, unless you're lining him up to feed to Samoa Joe.

Still, some interesting stuff.

I will say that they may have a championship shot, but they won't be thrusted straight into a title feud.

Obviously that is the ultimate feud, that I will want to lead into, but not for a far while, when Danielson has built himself up, and gotten himself over with the audience. I hope to continue the ANgle Joe feud, cause it is getting good ratings on EWR

Edit: THought you wre talking about Bryan Danielson not RVD- alot of the feuds will continue from AAO's, plus some new ones that have developed.

TNA iMPACT!

Video segment highlighting last Sunday’s ‘Against All Odds’, showing all the winners and losers of the night, culminating in Samoa Joe’s World heavyweight Title win over Kurt Angle.

Segment 1:
James Storm is backstage. Chris Harris comes into the picture.
Chris-
What the hell were you playing at last Sunday? I thought all that crap was behind us?
James- Dude, I do not have any time to put up with your crap. You are a smudge in my past. And if you are not careful with you running your mouth, you will be a minor speed bump in my rise up the ranks of TNA. Catch you later, ‘pal’.
Storm walks of with Harris looking pissed off at not getting an answer.

Mike-
And welcome one and all to TNA iMPACT! Live from Orlando, Florida, and tonight is the fallout from an eventful night at Against All Odds last Sunday. We have New X Division Champ, Bryan Danielson with his first defence against Low Ki. Plus expect to hear from Samoa Joe and the man he beat last Sunday Kurt Angle.
Don- Plus we have a table in the ring, with the X Division bingo machine on it, you know what that means.
Abyss, with Paul Bearer make their way to the ring.

Segment 2
Paul-
Now as you know last iMPACT! we started a game called ‘X Division Bingo’, meaning that each iMPACT! until Bryan Danielson gives Abyss a shot at his title, we will rage a war against the X Division wrestlers. My monster Abyss has already beaten Austin Creed and Matt Sydal and now it is time for a new challenge. Tonight’s winner is….
(Bearer spins the machine. He then pulls out a ball)

Don- And he will get it, but not in that way. He has to bide his time, and strike when Bryan Danielson is not expecting it.
Mike- But now we cross backstage to an announcement by Jim Cornette.

Segment 4

Jim Cornette is backstage.
Jim
- Last Sunday at Against All Odds, we saw The Kings of Wrestling ‘beat’ America’s Most Wanted. The result was in DQ, but a win is a win, and that makes win number 3 for this team. With two more wins needed for a contract, things will get a little tough for you Chris and Claudio. So next week on iMPACT! it will be The Kings of Wrestling taking on AJ Styles and Tomko, and why not LAX as well in a tag triple threat elimination match. Mike- Oh my god. What the hell is Monty Brown doing here? I thought he was gone from TNA.
Don- It is about time we see someone around here that is good for the company. Monty Brown is willing to save the X Division wrestlers, god knows why he wants to do that. But I think it is brilliant to see him back, and he is looking better than ever.

Segment 7

Karen Angle is walking backstage. Her husband Kurt walks up to her.
Kurt-
Karen! What the hell was that last Sunday? You cost me the win.
Karen- No Kurt. You lost it for yourself. I was absolutely sick of you when you were champion.
Kurt- WHAT! You think you can be a better champion then I was, and soon will be again. Fine. I will have some words with Dixie and Jim, and we will see if you can get a championship match tonight… against the New TNA Women’s Champion Amazing Kong. See you later. Rating 78

Mike- So we may see Karen Angle vs. Amazing Kong tonight… wait this has just been confirmed. Tonight for the TNA Women’s championship is Amazing Kong, the champ vs. Karen Angle.

Don- And I hope the winners can take the belt of this team. I hate them so much. They are a disgrace to all of the tag teams in TNA.
Mike- I am just going to give up on you. But know here are some words from Samoa Joe.
Samoa Joe comes to the ring.

Samoa Joe- Last Sunday at Against All Odds, I brought the TNA World Heavyweight Championship back to TNA Blood. No longer will our product be run by superstars. It is time that the wrestlers of TNA stand up and be counted. I am sick to death of ‘superstars’ running their mouth and thinking all that. Look at me… I was never a ‘superstar’ and now I am the top dog. Kurt Angle… you want another shot… you want another beating from me… come and get me.

The music of the former champion hits.
Kurt-
Joe… you took something off me last Sunday that meant the world to me. I may have Olympic gold, and held many other world titles, but they are nothing compared to this championship. You say all these superstars are coming in and taking over. I may be one of these so called superstars. But the reason I have taken over is that I am damn good. So I challenge you to a match next week. If I win, I get a title shot at Destination X. if I lose I cannot challenge you to a match for your title.
Joe- For next week? Why not now pussy?
Kurt- Well I have plans for you tonight. You will take on a winner from last Sunday. You will take on Raven. Catch you later punk… wait Joe get out of the ring. It is without further ado that I introduce the next TNA Women’s Champion… my wife… Karen Angle. Rating 83

Mike-
What a sadistic man!
Don- He is just getting revenge because she cost him his title.
Mike- Cost him? She left the ring. I mean got pushed out of the ring by Joe. but that was only because she wasn't refereeing fairly.
Don- But that lead to another ref coming in and causing Kurt to lose.
Mike- We go backstage to Christy Hemme, with a special guest.

Christy- Christy Hemme here, and my guest is Sting. Now Sting, you lost last Sunday at Against All Odds to Rhino. How do you feel about that?
Sting- Well tat is one count of stating the obvious if I have ever seen one. Yes I lost. And I am not very happy about it. Rhino… well he couldn’t make it here tonight, he had prior engagements, so I have heard. I am guessing he is too scared to come face to face with me… The Icon… Sting. Rhino… all you proved to me is that you cannot win fairly against me. You had to win with a handful of tights. I think that just shows what kind of a man you are. I’ll catch you whenever you are man enough to face me.

Mike- How about that from Sting?
Don- How dare he question Rhino’s credibility? Sting is just as bad as coming up with that lame excuse for him losing last Sunday. Face it Sting. You should retire now.

Ravens music comes on. Out comes Raven. Samoa Joe’s music then hits, and the champ makes his way out. Before the match can start, Kurt Angles music hits, and he makes his way to the announce table, where he is commentating for this match.

TNA iMPACT!
21/2/2008

Video opens the show, showing last week’s confrontation between Angle and Samoa Joe, leading to tonight’s main event.

Mike- Welcome to TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV. And do we have a show for you. Tonight we have a Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe. If Angle wins he gets a title shot against Joe, if he loses, he cannot challenge Joe for the title again.
Don- Don’t forget we have a number one contenders match for the TNA World Tag Team Titles, between LAX, AJ Styles and Tomko and The Kings of Wrestling, with an interesting stipulation. The teams can tag any member of any other team of their choosing, so Chris Hero can tag Homicide if they choose to.

Monty Brown’s music hits.
Mike-
That is interesting. But now we hear from the man that attacked Abyss after his win against Jay Lethal last week.
Don- Yeah lets see what he has to say for himself.
Monty- Isn’t it great to be back at TNA iMPACT! Most of you will know that I was actually in the WWE, under the name of Marcus Cor Von. I won’t deny it. I went to what I thought was ‘greener pastures’. But looking back at it now. That is the biggest mistake that I have made in my life. I was soon to realise that TNA IS THE PLACE TO BE. Now onto last week’s attack. A lot of people came up to me during the week, and were saying, “Yo Monty, why did you do it? Why did you attack Abyss?” Well it is quite simple. I was sitting at home watching TNA iMPACT!… on Spike TV… and I saw one man, or should I say there were two men, one was controlling the other, and using this guys size to essentially become a bully. First it was against Elix Skipper, then Austin Creed, then against Matt Sydal. It was also it this time they introduced the X Division Bingo game. Tell me Abyss, Paul. Is risking the lives of these wrestlers a game to you guys? So when this was being done, I rang Dixie and asked for my job again. And you know the rest. So that leaves me with the job tonight to challenge Abyss to a match. Come on Paul, Abyss. You scared. Later on in the show, I will make my way to the ring. You better follow me to the ring, or else I will come back there and pull you out here. I’ll catch ya later in the ring Abyss, and be ready for the fight of your life. Rating 81%

Mike- And what a match that may be tonight?
Don- If I was Abyss I would stay away from Brown. He does not want to associate with such riff raff.
Mike- Now it is time for the tag team elimination match for a TNA Tag Team championship shot for next week. Now remember that they can tag anyone in the match, no matter what team they are on.

AJ Styles and Tomko vs. LAX vs. The Kings of Wrestling

Second rope flying axe handle, Hernandez goes down. Dropkick connects, Hernandez goes down. Styles tags out to Tomko. Hernandez takes a vertical suplex. Tomko hits a bulldog off the ropes. Jim Cornette appears on the ramp.
Jim-
Congratulations boys. If my memory is any good that is four wins… out of four. And I believe you need one more win in your next match to earn yourself a contract. Now I will say because you are not proper TNA wrestlers, meaning you are on short terms contracts, here are the ground rules. I decide when your match will be. I have already picked your opponents, and because you won the number one contendership for the TNA Tag Team Championships, you will be taking on the champions The Motor City Machineguns. And because I am very generous I will make that match for next iMPACT! Now go back boys, cool yourself down. Tonight you can get a preview of what you two will be up against. Tonight it is The Motor City Machine Guns vs. XXX, Low Ki and Elix Skipper. Good luck for next week. Rating 86%

Mike- What a match for tonight.

So I am issuing you a challenge for tonight… come on Sting… lets finish it in the ring tonight… come on… don’t be a pussy now… oh I see how it is. well it seems that our hero, the “ICON” Sting isn’t here. Mike- I think Sting has answered Rhino’s challenge.
Don- In a gutless way. He could only get to him when he had his back turned, and when he had just finished a tough match against Eric Young.
Chris Harris’ music hits. He makes his way to the ring with a microphone in his hand.

Harris- So last week I approached my former partner, a former member of America’s Most Wanted, and asked him basically why did he attack me after our match at Against All Odds. Well I never got an answer. So James… why did you do it?
James Storm’s music hits, but no one comes out.
Harris-
I knew it, he is too scarred to come and face me. Fine have it your way Storm. I’ll come find you.
Harris throws down the microphone, and runs backstage. As soon as he hits backstage, Storm attacks Harris with a chair leaving Wildcat Harris in a bloody mess on the floor. He runs of before anyone can reprimand him. Rating 67%

Don- and you can say it was a missed opportunity for the 9 others in the match. Just think they could have eliminated him 4 times I think I counted in the match, and still they couldn’t get the job done. If I was the manager of any of those wrestlers I would be very unhappy.
