Just as we say that, the Sea Eagles with another barnstorming run up the middle and well and truly on the attack.

Manly's kick on the last pulls up just short and the Storm just in the field of play

The Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs have begun their season 2007 campaign with a 26-16 trial win over St George Illawarra at WIN Stadium in Wollongong tonight.

In a match marked down as a trial, there was certainly plenty of feeling as it entered the latter stages.

The Bulldogs trailed the home side 6-0 early before big prop Jarrad Hickey made his way over the line. Holdsworth converted and the scores were locked at 6-6.

The Bulldogs found themselves down 16-12 at the break following a late try to Matt Cooper. The response was a quick one from the Bulldogs, with Matt Utai scoring early in the second half before the 'Dogs went on to win 26-16.

Utai picked up an ankle injury mid-way through the second half, however the full extent of the injury is not yet known.
