For those of us that watched Friday night football, we got a good look at one Mr. Todd Lowrie in action tonight. What did we all think? Personally i didn't think much at all. I know he was injured towards the back end of the game but even prior to that i wasn't very impressed. Something like 6 hitups and 8 tackles prior to the injury? Pfft i sure hope he has to earn his spot in our run in team, i don't think he would have made our PL team on tonights form

Oh well on the upside the more gametime he gets there, the better it is for us...

yeah i agree.. i think he was signed for depth value..

when u think about it.. ull have.. cayless riddell moi moi hindy ian-hindy robinson then pj at 14.. and bench to be picked from cannings vella wagon josh,Tsolous, Lewis

Then maybe ud consider Lowrie in amongst that.. but i cant see him being picked ahead of cannings(in form) josh JT and vella and wagon for that matter

He'll be picked, dont you worry. Hagan would of guarenteed him otherwise I dont know why Lowrie would of signed for your mob.

He isnt that bad really, He gets shifted around alot, but give him a chance and im sure he will do you good.

Unless Hagan has plans for him at 5/8th..

Hagan will play him & someone better will miss out. I think he is a good solid player but by no means better than anyone already at the club. Yet he would, I expect, get a start from the get go next season. I think Hagan will run him to try & justify his signing!

I think he is going to be sensational. He is tough has ball skills can run angles or hit it straight up the middle. You cant judge a player off the bench that well in a tight game, and forget his stats he was playing 5/8 all the time he was on the field. Andrew Johns has said in the past he could be another Ben Kennedy that will do me. He is only 23 and in time I think he will be better than morrison. Sometimes you have to look to the future and in 2 years he will play state of origin.

No. I remember Todd saying the main reason he signed with us was that he wanted a chance to cement a position in the 2nd row.

He goes good for a 23yo. He's already a good first grader and in my view better than Zeb and Weller. I thought he was pretty gutsy in the closing stages playing with those nasty niggles. He showed signs of having a pretty big ticker and that cannot be discounted.

He was exellent I lost count of the number of times he crunched vagana. This time next year he will be called one of the buys of the year. Finch and Lowrie well done Hags and Fitzy.

Here Here!!
Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what he can do surrounded by the Blue and Gold pack

It's not like any of the knights "superstars" have been setting the world on fire either. Buderus has spent the last month complaining about getting tackled and can't even remember if johns played against us! I doubt he would have been guaranteed anything other than to be considered if form warrants. I mean, we've all whinged about our younger forwards not stepping-up consistently then we sign a solid player for depth and we still whinge...

I remember thinking a couple of years ago...why would the Eels sign a bloke like Fuifui Moimoi.....

i luv when people compare fui to other buys. fui always had size, and ran hard... he was a lil unfit. we have fixed that and we are reaping the rewards. i havn't seen much of lowrie, but im ready to give him a go, but i think he has 2 prove himself to.
