.

i'm betting jake plummer would have looked just as good with the amount of time brady had to scan the field and step into his throws.

Putting up big numbers hasn't helped him much lately. The Patriots need to get a running game and the defense needs to step up.

He isn't going to be able to throw like that all over every team. Especially not the Jets, Packers or Eagles with the guys they have in the secondary.

if the cowboys didn't choke the jets would have lost, packers had 34 put on them and well the Eagles they have the best secondary in the history of the league so it will be alot harder, but this is Tom Brady we talking about not Joe Flacco

Guy died this afternoon, reached the pearly gates and looked down to see Tom Brady slaying the Dolphins for 500+ yards, guy says to St Peter - "omg, thats amazing, who is that?"

St Peter laughs, and responds "dont worry about that, its just god... he think's he's Mike Vick"

I thought Vontae Davis and Sean Smith were supposed to be one of the better young corner tandems in the league.

Gee Nate Solder certainly looked impressive today against Cameron Wake

The Phins corners were on another planet. And i think Revis and Cromartie are too. Revis is insanely good but Cromatrie gives up plays, he gave up two on week 1. They arent the be all and end all.

Nnamdi and Revis would have been that.
But as it stands right now... of the 3 best CB tandems in week 1.
the jets gave up 2, the phins gave up 3 and the eagles are on zero

Solder was impressive but i think Wake could be a bit of a one year wonder. Ill be keen to see how he stacks up against more elite pass rushers and more exotic packages

American football is a strange mixture of the professional and the amateur. For starters, the helmets have hardly changed in 50 years. Why haven't they modernised them,; surely there's a modern material that is strong enough to protect the head but also wafer thin? Instead they look clunky and cumbersome - which is not a sporting look.

Secondly, having hundreds of people milling around on the sideline looks totally amateurish. Players, trainers, entertainers, cheerleaders and obviously anyone else with a remote connection to the team can loaf around on the edge of play - no other major sport would allow such a mess of people so close to the action.

Still didn't get the highest QB ranking for the week, despite throwing those numbers. Could argue the interception wasn't his fault either.
