For anyone in QLD who would like to see a future Eels at play today, Tom Humble's Northern Pride are playing on ABC right now.

Kid looks good
I am half-heartedly watching the game since I am at work
But I just looked up and saw #6 dummy, skip around his opposite player and scoot 50m to score a great solo try
#6 just happens to be Tom Humble

By the way, he is the goal kicker too

Humble set up the last try of the game with a beautiful inside pass that was Lockyeresque.

And the Northern Pride win and are into next weeks Grand Final :)

Tom Humble wins man of the match :)

Sounds like a great young prospect , hopefully it won't take him long to find his feet in the NRL next year .

Souths Logan will test him out. If he gets over the top of Phil Denis he'll be good. Go you SL Magpies...

kids got speed, considering how hard we chased him you'd think he'd get a shot at the top 17 pre season.

The try just into the second half was the one to see.
40 metres from the tryline
He gets the ball second off the ruck, props then hits the afterburners.
Straight through.
He scorched past two players, one of which was PJ Marsh.

I am telling you that this kid is so much like Brett Kenny its amazing.
The gait, the laconic way he handles himself, the burst of speed.

I know we have some halves but this kid will be too good for under 20s and Wenty next year.

My bold prediction is that we will finish next year with this halves combo - 6. Humble 7. Mortimer.
As it is generally acknowledged that the Qld Cup is of a better standard than the NSW Cup, he will be too good to keep out of the top team.

Humble is too old for the 20's now... but a Humble/Mortimer in the halves would carve em up. He has been getting some good write ups this year and is possibly looking at player and rookie of the year for Qld Cup.

They got done this arvo Pete.

Humble went good in that game....reminds me of Thorman in looks haha

Bloody hell...They will be devastated. Missed out on all the Raiders they have been using through the year...
They were very confident of winning. Go the Pride now....
