hey guys i finished high school with Tom last year down here at tamworth, farrer actually.. but anyways i know he was a great player, big and fast, great skills. played many levels of rep league aswell. I was just wondering what you guys think of him, if you've seen him play yet.
I'm pretty sure he's eligable for NSW, so hopefully he plays for us when its time! haha ok then.

lol, sorry Poida. We haven't really had a chance to see what Learoyd's all about yet, but he does have big wraps on him. A player of that size with that speed...if he can actually play the game then he is going to be a gun.

Yeah, Tom is my cousin and havent seen him since he was about 3 or 4 and as u can imagine he has grown a FAIR BIT when I saw him at the Clydesdale game on Sunday. Do u guys think he will get a run this weekend in a broncs jumper?

Very good chance he will Kingytek, Meyers and Carlaw are battling injuries to be able to play, Learoyd and Costigan are in standby in case they pull out and the Broncos will want some size particularly if Meyers pulls out.

When will they announce if he is in the 17. SMH are tipping Carlaw will withdraw but Myers will stay. So either Sammy or Tommy will get the call up. Do u think WB will want to give Tom some NRL exposure against one of the weaker sides?

I've seen him play with Toowoomba a couple of times now and i have HUGE wraps on the guy. His speed and agression when he's taking the ball up.... it's just phenomenal. He has real talent and potential - I can't wait to see how he goes today.

Learoyd didn't seem to know how fast the NRL is.

But a few stints in the Clydesdales should get him there.

Unfortunately Tom failed to make an impression yesterday. Could be a case of to much pressure from the media. Expectations were high on him putting in a good performance. It happens. I'm sure the young bloke will bounce back.

Tom toured with Aussie schools in December 2002 in the team that lost 2-0 to England. IMO he was the best Australian in the party and from what I saw (I was at both tests), he is certain to be a star.
