Tomahawks player pool

Yeah, if this carries on until the World Cup (where presumably there will be player payments of some sort) then I think there's definitely a lawsuit there, the only way the AMNRL could win would be by admitting that the Tomahawks is not a national team which would surely then force the RLIF's hand anyway.

Don't really see the RLIF stepping in any time soon. I predict it will be business as usual and the Tomahawks will go into the WC representing the USA and I honestly wish them the best of luck as I plan to be there watching their matches.

Where it will get interesting is after the WC. With the USARL being successful, will the AMNRL be able to continue ignoring the comp?

My point in all this was never to cast blame on David, but continue to highlight the injustices being done to players in the USA not associated with the AMNRL. I'm not going to speak for any other USARL teams, but I'm pretty sure that no USARL team would prevent one of their players from representing the USA and playing on the Tomahawks where they to be selected. We're not the ones being unreasonable here.

I guess Niu could just name some of the USARL players in an extended squad, then cut them when the World Cup squad it picked.

"They were considered. They just weren't good enough. if they played in the AMNRL, their skills would have been enhanced because it is the highest standard league in the USA."

Okay that is it! I am going to write......A LETTER!

Seriously, let's get a petition and some letters going to the RLIF and get this shit sorted out. We need all teams to be at full strength to showcase our game next year.

Include Italia RFL in that also, very similar situations.

Do the Italians select from both organisations when it comes to the national team and is it just the two bodies that run seperate domestic competitions or like the US is one set of players excluded from the national team?

The RLIF didn't step in when the Super League players weren't selected by Australia for the '95 World Cup so I guess the precedence is there. Not that I agree with the exclusion of the USARL players for consideration for selection.
