Tomahawks to play France and Storm?

It's difficult to know for sure, but I'd imagine the Tomahawks would struggle to keep up with even a second string Storm side.

I couldn't imagine what kind of a blow-out scoreline it'd be if they played a club side.
New England Immortals aren't a club side, it's a rep side taken from the clubs that are based in New England. It would be a blow-out either way, at least this preserved the integrity of the national side. Plus I don't think club sides should ever really be playing against international sides if it's avoidable.

I see your point and I didn't know that about the New England Immortals. But I still think it'd be better for the Tomahawks to play. As you say it'll likely be a blow out no matter who they play, but the blowout would be lessened and the game more entertaining if it were the Tomahawks. Plus I think the players and the the team itself would get great experience out of a game against the Storm and in the grand scheme of things the game of RL needs to Tomahawks to improve, more than it needs to New England Immortals to improve.

Yes I understand the integrity of the national side argument. But everyone would expect a blowout, so I don't think anybody would think less of the Tomahawks if they were beaten in a blowout. But if they managed to catch Melbourne on the hop and make a game of it, at least for a little while, the Tomahawks would gain great respect.

The American public probably would. It would make a lot more sense for USA to play against another international team to prepare them for what they are likely to face at the World Cup than for them to get smashed by a club side.
