personally i don't think it is a conspiracy against the raiders but nsw selected definitely have their fav teams if you don't see that your kidding yourself.

Gallen has not preformed for 'years'. Blokes like Mason and Hindmarsh have preformed for years. Last year was Gallens best year by the length of a straight. If tongue plays good for the first 8 weeks he will have a country jersey without a doubt. Its not a conspiracy against canberra. When canberra get the players good enough to rep, they will rep. Tongue had his best year in well a few years of lackluster footy for canberra.

It's all relative... but anyone that breaks the record for most tackles in a season is a great player to me.

Fitzy did his 40-50 tackles a game for the chooks a few years back, and by god he was freaking ordinary. Takes more than tackles to make a great player.

doesnt matter how deserving he is, look at last year, was the form lock of the comp, and didnt even get a bench spot for country origin, he was flat out robbed and i think it will be more of the same this year. All because he plays for canberra, he plays for any other club and he is first picked.

I remember the mid ninety's when Canberra, Brisbane and Manly made up 90% of the rep sides.

I'm not a Queenslander but they pick teams based on form and that's why they are able to topple NSW who have much more player depth. Anasta and Finch FFS.

Tongue was unlucky last year not to get a rep jersey of sorts, whether it was country origin or state of origin.

Can you really say that every player picked for origin last year deserved to be there (bar the few, lockyer, buderus, hodgson)

There were a few picked in the teams, specifically for the kiwis. The tigers and Cowboys had a champion team, not a team of champions, thus their lack of AUS stars. Like those people calling for scando to have the Green and Gold were just out of their freaking mind.



Immortal, you are a stat man. Stats don't wash with me. When he gains a presence on the field like those of many of the origin players eg. the Bedseys, masons, hindies, O'mealys, even Gallen had a strong presence, then he can be classed as great rather than good. Until he can do that week in week out i don't believe he can be in the sky blue even though he may give 110%.
