You're clutching!

I actually have respect for Menzies. Its a great shame he is not a one Aus club player.

Hope he makes it to 40 in the ESL.

I have no doubt he could have played another few years in the NRL but by all reports it was Des that pushed him out. I think any club would have been happy to have a bloke of his quality on the bench from about 2009-2011, maybe even 2012.

Williams is a liability.

Played 3 games to start the season, then he's out for 7, then he plays one game, then he's out for another 7-8. If everything goes well for him, he might end up playing 35% of this season.

Not really. He played 20 games last year and 25 the year before so he plays a lot more than 35% of games. Just unlucky this year getting suspended and then injured. Are you sure you're not thinking of Matai?

Matai is worse, but this season has been horrendous for Williams. Hopefully he can stay fit for the Bulldogs, but I see it as a risk personally. Particularly for the kind of money that's being talked about.

Just there is a massive pack. I dare say Des never really wanted Foran. He just wanted to make sure he got Williams. It pretty easy to see what Des Likes. Massive forwards that just rumble over the top of the opposition. With the way the game is at the moment it looks like a smart idea. If they speed up the ruck. It could backfire though!

Ha - that is ingenious! I'd say he wanted Foran, but had in mind who he wanted if he failed on that snag knowing that Manly couldn't keep 'em all.

Des would definitley take foran no doubt. But gee he really can get the big boys playing good minutes and knows how to effectively use them. Great coach. I reckon the Dogs will be hard to beat next year. Makes it even tougher to see the Coal train go up the coast.

If he stays fit and is on like 400k, that's a good buy. However, 600k and getting half a season out of him is bit of a waste...
