Yeah it was unusual, normally spear tackles start out fine but something happens and it becomes dangerous.

But T-Rex literally WWF suplexed the guy.. I mean hes a big man and he threw him around a bit, its not the end of the world, but definitely worthy of a few weeks.

Edit: Err just saw that 7-10 weeks.. thats an excessive penalty, there wasnt malice, just kinda happened with a big man and a small man.

Yeah we know he is a giant of a man and probaly doesnt realise his own strength but IMO it appeared to not only be dangerous but totally reckless as well (there is a difference).....there was another incident in the game as well where he seemed to compress down on a sharks players neck

I keep seeing everyone say it was accidental... surely that makes it even more important to punish? If someone that huge is seriously that unaware of his strength and doesn't understand what's going to happen when you pick someone up, spin them around then slam them onto the ground.... then maybe they need to be shown a reason to be more careful? And since the guy wasn't dumped on his head (luckily) and is therefore still alive, the next bext reason to give him to be careful is that he'll miss half a season if he's not careful from now on....

Even though the 7 - 10 week ban is considered excessive, I was hoping he would get 10 weeks !
We play the Eagles again in round 13 (would've been his 10th week) !
