The Tigers shambolic "effort" this afternoon would have to go down as the most gutless surrender since the days of Terry Lamb. We can now truly be known as a bunch of Top 8 chokers after despicable collapses in 2000 and in 2004 when we again put in a shocker against the Cows at home.

Too many players either simply don't care or are just not good enough for First Grade Currently. Paul Whaturia and Benji Marshall have both been awful in 2007. Our Prize Signings Ryan OHara and Keith Galloway are a laughing stock up front. You have players like Dene Halatau, Fitzhnery, Galea, Morris who have not made an impact in months but have continually found a place in the 17. Basically Coach Sheens has stuck witht he same troopers all season and there lowly efforts have been finally rewarded with a place outside the Top 8 in a very low competation.

The only players that consistently put in are Robbie Farah, Brett Hodgson, Chris Heightington, Todd Payten and Taniela Tuiaki.

Lets have a look back since our win Over Penrith 25-24.

V Parra = Uncompetative, 30 + coneeded
V Newcaslte = Ugly Win
V Titans = shocking home loss, flat as pancakes
V Brisbane = Uncompetative
V Raiders = Ugly win
V Penrith = Down 20-4 at one stage
V Manly = Uncompetative
V Warriors = Uncompetative
V Cows = Goodperformance
v Titans = Uncompetative
V Chooks = Error riddled performance
V Shakrs = Down 18-4 at one stage
V Rabbits = Uncompetative

So there you have it. 5 wins from our last 13.

Uncompetative in 6 of those 13. 2 from 7 in our home games of those last 13. It is utterly shambolic, with a fairly good run with injuries we have had.

It truly is a shameful capitulation to miss the 8 from where we were. But as we have seen from the past, the Tigers are masters of it.

Its hard to argue,...

Obviously they are not as good as we thought they were...

I think that the loss of Prince and Laffranchi has really exposed our lack of depth in the halves and the backrow...

Thers no hiding from the facts. I thought we were home when we were in the top 4 with Hodgo and Benji missing, the above is a pathetic result,

I wouldn't class the Cows game as a good performance. To be honest I was slightly dissapointed after the game. Yeah we put 50 on them but the Cows laid down in front of us. The Cows were absolutley woeful. A quality side would have cracked 80 and kept them to zip.

What I don't understand is the criticism the likes of eddie, myself and a few others get for harping on about the same things (on the official forum). Yes its repetitive (much like our rubbish performances), but can anyone sit here and tell me that its not correct?

Further, are we less of a fan for pointing out the blinding obvious? Does anyone think we don't want the best for our team? Does anyone think we don't want a winning side? Or do people think we just whinge for the sake of it?

And it's not negative either. It's called being realistic. There are some people here that will happily accept mediocrity - these are the same people that used to tell us since 2000 that we'd be fine and everything was going to be ok when we were being belted by 60 every week and had Langmack running training sessions with pink f**king b1tch shirts. The same people that thought Lamb was a god after three wins to start a season. The same idiots that think we can't have an opinion about Sheens because he is a coach and we aren't. The same idiots who think that because we are sitting here and deservedly criticising the club for their inept performances that we are somehow "not supporting the team".

Teams like the Bulldogs, and Broncos and Melbourne - they would not put up with the sh1t that we do. They don't tolerate medioctity and have a winning culture. We don't. Noyce said after 2005 that we were aiming to become the Man Utd of the NRL. Can someone tell me exactly what we've f**king done since then? That is perhaps the most embrassing statement I've ever heard.

We consistently lose out signing players that we want. Name one player we've signed in the last three years that was wanted by other clubs? Our recruitment is poor and we still haven't adequately replaced Scott Prince. Of all our best signings (in 2003), only one of them remains, and he is at the back end of his career.

Disappointing thing was seeing the way they'd chucked the towel in 25 from fulltime, players walking...NO talk whatsoever....one of the worst displays ive seen from a wests tigers outfit.

As you know Eddie I have been saying this all year, bar two or maybe three games 2007 has been a disaster. We just dont have the cattle to compete and if you think 2007 has been bad you aint seen nothing yet.
All the teams that have given us a touch up have a big strong tough forward pack. If you cant win the ruck your going to get smashed. To think we have no room under our cap to start trying to repair the damage gives me nightmares. We need about 4 to 5 new faces and it aint going to happen.
Sheens even if he was god will not be able to improve our chances next year

The only glimmer of hope on the horizon is a reduction in the number of interchanges being made. If it stays as is 2008 promises to be a long year. The upside is it will be Tiger Tim's last in Tigertown before he leaves/is sacked and hopefully takes his even more inept sidekick with him

Yes I did think if they change the interchange rule it may play into our hands, but the mover and shakers in the nrl are the same people who elected to slow the play the ball speed down after 2005 so dont expect any drastic changes

I think what really worries me, Souths were solid, but were not brillant,we were shocking. The bears would have beaten us too. A melbourne or manly would have put sixty on us

The rules changed to stop sides like the Tigers who lacked muscle up front from playing OZTAG and TUNNEL BALL in the ruck area.. the Tigers just don't have the go forward.

As opposed to the hit up for five tackles and kick sh1t that we have now.

I know what I'd rather watch.
