Toopi is the new Tahu

This occurred to me when I heard the Channel 9 boys creaming themselves about Toopi's "amazing feats of athleticism" in falling over the line, or running in unopposed, or capitalising on the good work of others. With Tahu's fall from representative grace obviously they are in search of a new glory boy who capitalises on the good work of others, is of little assistance to his teammates on attack, drops far too much ball (he dropped the ball half a metre from the Aussie line on the first tackle yesterday and no-one even mentioned it) and is a simply terrible defender.

Toopi is the new Tahu.

Toopi is a great attacking player we all know that but people don't notice how good he is in defence aswell.

I rate Toopi both in attack and defence, poor old Tahu needs A.Johns to throw him the miracle passes to look any good.

At least Toopi isn't a turnstile like Tahu.

Yes he is, that's the whole point. He leads the missed tackles every week. And half the time he isn't in position to make the tackles anyway. Why do you think Francis Meli was repeatedly placed in 2 on 1 and 3 on 1 situations yesterday?
