How come only at the 11th hour any of these media hacks are now starting to criticise the Dragons? Should have started during Origin period as to concern about player burnout and plan B for depth and change of game plans?

Because this way they look like they know what they are talking about.
Yes, it is a mystery but at least Kimmorly has pointed the finger straight at Mary and not alluded to it like some other media hacks have.

Some might say that we as Dragon supporters are whingers and drame queens but we are passionate about our side and have witnessed the whole 2018 journey from every minute of every game ( and every game Mary has coached this side through the years ). Thats why we are so pissed off.He hasn't learn't anything and keeps making the same mistakes. We are the best judges.

The drums are beating !

It all bandwagon stuff.

I'm sure half these "commentators" don't even watch all the games.

I reckon they either just agree with whatever the others on the panel say or simply just make assumptions based on what happened over recent games.

I heard Brett Finch say he thought Hunts form was good 2 weeks ago.

Go figure...

Clearly the board don’t read these forums but they do watch tv and read the papers and the more Brett kimorleys we have the sooner McGregor goes
The meltdown by fans at Kogarah with booing and angst towards the players plus social media backlash was bad enough. But it then got plastered all over ‘normal ‘ media - surely the Board can’t block this out. This is unprecedented and all under the watch of Mary and his merry men.:rage::rage:. No more excuses.....

Followed the Saints/Dragons/Illawarra since 1967 no 1965 that wilk do. So my take after hearing Brett Kimmorley speak. He won a ring once when Melbourne scewed us along with the refs 1999? And i spoke to him in a bar and he showed me the ring thought he was a prick then nothings changed for me. For me i thought if the forwards maintained their effort we would roll but our backs outside of Widdop and Hunt were going to be our problem but Nene was a plus. Not a lot of skill in the backs apart from those mentioned please excuse Jason Nightingale he has been crucified this year. Now the forwards have got a few injuries we lose Vaughn we loss confidence but they are being belted by penalties bad plays bad bounces then during a game more injuries a ten minute stint in the bin and they just cant compete. I think depth is a problem as well especially the forwards. And if our coach gave a few more of those young blokes a shot things might be different. How long did it take to get Luciano on the feild for ant length of time. One more point i seen these guys flog Cronulla last yr or one before during a slump yes i thought they are back but no a dream. Problem as others have eluded to No Depth No Development and No Coach.

I would most agree with your assessment of the Dragons, except last weekend. That was just pathetic.

Wasn’t the writing on the wall when parra put 44 on us?!
And Storm put 52 on us.
And the RoRters put how many on us.....
Or about 12 weeks ago when the Panthers put a big score on us.

Yes it was, you're right. But the question I'd like to explore is WHY has this happened for the past few years. This season was our best start for many years and our worst collapse for many years.

Our good starts and epic fades all come down to the fact that the really good coaches & teams now exactly when the GF is played.
Slow and steady starts to the season where they tinker with their rosters, blood their replacement players for when they are needed and then pick the time when they need to start building momentum.
We build momentum for 8 weeks then start to slide as others start to put everything into its proper place and meanwhile we have no way of getting out of the dilemma because our morale is busted.
If people are really honest about what we achieved this year IMO we had a few really great wins, a couple of good wins and then a host of very scrappy wins and people ignored the scrappy wins as being danger signs and warnings that we had problems.
Just because you win doesn't mean you will be competitive when it counts most.
