Hardcore/Metal cross-over.
I would definitely class them as metal, there seems to be a lot of metal core bands popping up all of sudden getting more and more coverage from the mainstream media like Killswitch Engage but I guess being the new poster boys for Road Runner Records you'd expect that.
Lamb of God are pretty rad I must admit

Tourniquet - albeit not as widely known as other technical/thrash metal bands out there have been in the game for 10+ years and are still churning out killer albums and you can never fault them for doing the same thing over and over, because they haven't......Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance and Psychosurgery were technically insane albums music wise and the lyrics albeit not for everyone actually required the listener to think a bit

Impellitteri.....although not trail blazers in the world of metal have always been a classic guitar based band with awesome vocalists

They're the only 2 bands i can surely say deserve some credit in the top 10 lists of metal
