It's great to see the team hasn't learned from last week.

Dembele was pretty good and close to a game-changer.
Most of the others can hang their heads in shame though.
Sloppy, slow, incoherent.
Friedel, unsurprisingly, had a blinder. Won't make a difference though, Lloris wasn't signed to sit on the bench.

Lennon was poor and hopefully Dempsey can replace him. Everyone's touch was off and it was just a pretty terrible game really.

Huddlestone looked really unlucky to me to get red carded, both players slid in the same way and Huddlestone got to the ball first?

god we are a rabble atm, need these new players to gel so it will be a typical slow start to the season for us

Sando took a knock and had to be replaced but I think he's OK as it was just precautionary

it says we agreed and submitted our paperwork 4 mins late just like the last window

British press are saying terms agreed but Porto renegged as they excluded the 3rd party ownership which meant we had to include an additional 15% which we did but it was after the deadline

in short, we left it all too late which is how Levy gets his jollies

Sandro and Ade have been given intensive training regime as they are very unfit and with all the newbies we have they need time to get to know one another

Apparently you had agreed terms in time with the player and the club but the third party owner of Moutinho cancelled the deal by not agreeing to it in time.


Levy has to learn that sometimes you have to pay more than you want to to get a player. No one wants to, but it happens.

totally agree, he's too trigger happy

considering his opportunities and Readings defence, he should have had another couple

really like Vertongen as well, he is settling in very well and he plays pretty high for a CB, very attacking much like Thiago Silva and not afraid to get forward

Can't believe we didn't get a win against Lazio, Dempsy clearly not offside in the replay and Caulker disallowed by a push and shove in a corner which was no different to the push and shove in any corner.

Apart from that it was a quality game and I like how we are playing, Lazio played almost the entire first half in their half.

Caulker is coming along very nicely and I dont think it will be long before he is in the starting line up with Verts but it will be hard to keep Kaboom out, plenty of depth at CB for Spurs but we might need it with Naughton now injured as well as Benny so no real left FB.

Unlucky in a high quality game and I can see how Lazio are doing well in Serie A.

Loving the chant Super Jan Vertonghen, thought it may of been gone for a while with Pav no longer around.

Tactically poor in the first half again and very lucky to get the 3 points.
Hopefully AVB learns from this and realises that...

Bale isn't a Left Back.
Vertonghen is a more then capable to cover anywhere in the back line(Love when he runs forward too)
Caulker has surpassed Dawson(Bye Michael, thanks for the memories)
Dempsey cannot play as a wide player, simply a waste, use him properly even if means feeding Defoe like VDV did.
