When Spurs are basically publicly acknowledging they are chasing players like Diego Forlan, Luis Fabiano, and so on, mentioning N'Zogbia is a bit of a stir.

N'Zogbia is a good player in the prem. Good engine, sweet left foot. No worse than Pienaar.

Forlan has already had a go in the prem, United didn't sell him because he scored to many goals you know. Luis Fabiano is to old, and uses his power a lot in Spain. It would be harder for him to adapt to the prem. So out of three i'd have N'Zogbia.

Anyways you are supposed to be after that guy from Ipswich. Connor Wickham, still young but looks like he is going to be good.

there are a few teams after Wickham but from what I am hearing its a lock in for this summer

its one of those deals where his dad is his agent and a very greedy one at that

I've never seen him play and I dont take much notice of the usual Youtube compilation as everyone has a highlight reel, its what they produce in between that interests me

the kid is still only 17 and although he scored a hatrick in the championship last week, some of these kids just dont go onto to reach their expectations

his dad has valued him at 10mill which is a bit of a joke

in any case, he wont fix our immediate problems and alot of Spurs fans rate Harry Kane alot more than Wickham, Kane is currently our U/18 striker

Whilst I agree with that you also have to look at the other players we were chasing. Karim Benzema, Fernando Llorente, plus these two old guys. Whilst all four of them play in a competition where only two teams dominate, I'd still say that they are good targets for Spurs, and in the talent they have they are much better than N'Zogbia. I wasn't having a dig at N'Zogbia, just saying that I think the other guys might be a better fit.

Frankly though, I don't care who we sign as long as he can score goals :)

3-3. Damn.

And it was when Defoe finally scored, and he had a double too.
And Pavlyuchenko got the third.
A good day for our strikers for once.

I guess the team can't be blamed, was away to a Wolves side that played brilliantly by all reports, and we are still being ravaged by injury. No VDV, Lennon and Bale on the bench, etc, we are no-where near full strength.

Still....

Um why wasn't Hutton sent off? And why was Stearman header ruled not a goal?

Spurs with some very fortunate deicision, lucky not to lose.

Yeah lucky to get a point, glad Wolves got that result. Stupid decisions from the ref the non sending off and the dissallowed goal (which, if it wasnt a goal, was a penalty).

Man our defence sucks. Although if we give away a point to someone, I'm glad it's Wolves - don't want them to get relegated.

I think we are paying for our current injury toll, 7 or 8 players what ever it is, about a third of our squad is unavailable

Agree with CliffyIsGod.

Big questions need to be asked of Milan after the possession, time and opportunities we basically surrendered to them.

Even bigger questions (perhaps) need to be asked of what the hell happened to the "all-out attack" Harry talked about.

I think a lot of people got carried away after the inter game. Knock out football is completely different to group stages.

Also if you go all out attack against a team with Ibra, Robinho and Pato in it there is a good chance you will concede a goal.

Bit of a boring match for the neutral, but thats probably how spurs wanted it, and who cares what neutrals think. :)

Congrats, hopefully see you in the next round.

Well not all-out attack but at least moving the ball up, keeping more possession and trying to create more chances. I think the final possession stats were close to 60-40 Milan's way. We were basically inviting them to score, even though we defended very well. It's just that when you think Modric, Lennon and VDV start, with Bale on the bench, we would throw more at them.

I don't honestly care but it's still a bit odd.

I don't disagree, the thing is that we ultimately gifted them a few chances because we just sat back. The good thing about our defence was that those opportunities were few and far between, and against a team like Milan that's a good sign, especially considering our defensive record lately has been poor (in the League).

Agree :) Not an entertaining game but it doesn't matter, we moved through.
