"Tough competitive streak" Stuart on Ennis

In my opinion Farah is twice the footballer Ennis is.

Stuart says he loves "The tough competitive streak" in Ennis.

Does that mean running behind someone else when there's stink on...that should never be forgiven.

Farah is as tough and as competitive as they come and tonnes of skill on top of that. He is one of the most talented players in the game.

What a joke!

I don't care if Ennis has a blinder, its still a very poor decision.

Another post about Ennis started by a Tigers supporter.

Mate we just have to let it go.

The selectors have made their bed with Mick, now they can lie in it.

I hope Farah says "f**k you" to Ricky Stuart if he asks him. It would make up for this injustice.

Ennis is a really lame selection. However Farah had his chance in 10 rounds of football to nail down a spot. I hate to say it but he simply has not been consistent enough. I would argue he has had 2 or 3 shockers and that would stay in selectors minds. Ennis is far from a world beater however Farah can't have many complaints.

Not a tigers fan.

Big Blues fan.

SHATTERED that Farah is not picked.
He's had 2-3 years of showing that he's a vastly superior footballer to Mick Ennis - both in attack and defence AND in general "toughness".

Ennis is better at the verbal - but nobody seems to pay much attention to the verbal when they're thrashing you 40-0.

Finding it hard to get enthusiastic about a team including players who are NOT the best in their positions this year (Dugan, Ennis, King) - how can the selectors screw up so badly in 3 of the STARTING POSITIONS?

Chin up Robby, it's the selectors who are imbecilic morons and have picked crap teams for 5 years - we held out hope they might pick a proper team this year - but no.

Well he can do a Lyon and retire from Origin.

Robbie won't get picked for SOO this year. His form this year has not been great but as others have stated he is at least twice the player Ennis is.

I am sure Robbie will get picked for Australia at the end of the year as he is the second best hooker behind Cameron Smith.

The fact that Robbie has not been the NSW hooker on a full time basis for the last 3 - 4 years has me baffled. Maybe I don't know much about rugby league but in my many years of watching I have not seen to many hookers better than Robbie.

Ennis is a media darling for some reason but he is a very over-rated footballer. As for his toughness all he is good at is niggling. I always read what a tough defender he is but unless my eyes are playing tricks on me I notice him missing many tackles every game.

No wonder we have players retiring when you consider the crap the likes of Hayne and Farah have to go through.

I will be the first to admit Farah has not played well this season given his high standards. However he still should be there over Ennis, who should have been stamped never to play again after his efforts in game three last year. Even if they did not opt for Farah, I would have picked almost any other hooker over Ennis be it Hinchcliffe, De Gois, Kingston, Young etc.

If the NSW selectors were smart Farah should have been first picked for Origin in 2007, firstly as the 18th man and then on the bench for one or two games to play the back 15 minutes of each half. This should have been done until Buderus retired. You would have had two years of learning off him, training with the team and made him the natural successor. Instead they finally give him a go, he plays one decent game, and one admittedly very poor game and he is dropped for Ennis who has played four, soon to be five games and has done next to nothing besides give away cheap penalties and hide behind props.

Yeah Farah should've been played into the side years ago, and stuck with.

Ennis is a gutless grub, Farah doesn't take a backwards step. That rib cartliage injury Farah played with a few years back has cost him.

I rate Farah as better than Ennis in every facet of play.

You'd think after constant shockers in 2010 it'd be more obvious to the selectors and the coach as well.

Whenever a player has to live on being a "tough competitor" or some such, you cam take it as read that they are below standard in skill, and try to make up for it with sledging and penalties.

It's the football equivalent of being "street smart"
