How? Are you a complete idiot???!!!! You are the one claiming Easts went after King. Do I have to spell it out to you that Manly have been after Lyon for 2 season? What does that make Manly, and their f**k brained supporters if not hypocrites?

Oh its OK to bag Easts because you THINK they went after powder Puff King, but you turn a blind eye to your club's bullcrap with Jamie Lyon???

Not only a hypocrite, an absolute moron to boot.

You clown! A contract means NOTHING! If Ricky wants King -- and he doesn't -- he'll get him. Deal with it.

Rightio, and hows Bott looking in Rooster colours? or Lockyer?
But we didnt spend it did we? im waiting to see proof of the Bott and Lock offers...

There was an article posted on here, the Roosters offer him 120,000, he chose the Broncos. Didn't hear the Roosters dispute that, like they do every other time they are dragged into it when they have had nothing to do with it.

On Lockyer, I do believe the NRL last year said they wouldn't register a contract between Lockyer and the Roosters if there was one signed that year. I also seem to remember the NRL saying that they could take no further action regarding anti tampering because there wasn't ENOUGH proof, it wasn't there was no proof, just not enough.

did the article say how many years the Bott contract was for? could have been a 3 year deal.. $40,000 a year would have not been over the top.

While on the anti-tampering subject.. The Bronco's were in Justin Hodges ear as early as January last year during the 7's.. As to Lockyer, he was never approached as the club knew he would have wanted about 250,000 more a year than we could afford.

Where is the proof? I am sure on the other hand the Bulldogs would be paying peanuts to all the NZ rep players who sign up with them every year. Considering we only offered Willie Topou who is a great young talent $15,000 compared to the Dragons $80,000 I would doubt we are paying any $100,000. Soward's contract might be skewered to $100k at the end of his contract but he wouldn't be on that much now, either would Moke.

Are you a dickhead on purpose?

Let me emplain things really slowly for the half a brain you were born without.

I'll even use point form for you:

- You said you hoped Manly spent heaps on an "untried and untested" player in King.
- Yet, the Roosters tried to get Bott, a player not to play first grade yet, and certainly untried and tested for whopping 120k.

That was my hypocrictal point. Not some junk about Lyon, which has nothing to do with the point in question.

Now, repeat after me; Melon is stupid.

Ricky doesn't call the shots. Gus does. End of story.

If true, this makes Gus the only coach ever to win premierships with three separate clubs -- a pretty fine effort!

I think you'll find in years to come, teams will be playing for the "Phil Gould Cup". Has a ring to it!

On the Roosters I think we'll see a trend of them not buying as many top grade talent in terms of the likes they signed this year.

Three players. Roberts, Monaghan and Firman.

Prior to that, we signed Mullins in 2002, Finch and Catic in 2003 and nobody last year.

Hardly a spending spree.

But when your squad is what it is, buying Roberts, Monaghan and Firman is a huge spending spree.

Jesus I'm heart broken, Jason King has re-signed with Manly what are we gonna do now?

Whats the world coming to? I don't know what to stress over more:-

A: Prince Big Ears marrying Princess Ugly Features
B: Terrorism and the War in Iraq
C: King not going to the Chooks

For mine, it sounds like a bit of built up paranoia and hysteria perfectly played by King's manager. Seems like a few Manly fans have fallen hook line and sinker. King's a decent player, but their current props aren't the worst either in Cayless, Morley and whomever they run off their bench. Put it this way, I wouldn't be slashing my wrists to get him to my club, I doubt the Roosters would do the equivalent and propose deals to him while he's under contract before the anti tampering dead line.

The Roosters apparently are always the charletons - after all, Barrett, Lockyer, Tuqiri etc were all specials to end up there from all 'forum' reports.

Losing Brad Fittler would take a lot off the cap, as would Justin Hodges. Its irrelevant what they already had, its only relevant when you compare what they lost, to what they've gained. I don't think there's any issue whatsoever when its looked at in a non biased rational sense.

Does a cooked roast at Waynes ever Thursday night count in the cap as well.

Fittler took a pay cut the year before to keep the squad together. I'm not going to go calling them rorters, but buying Roberts, Monaghan and Firman would cost a lot more than losing Fittler (on a pay cut) and Hodges. Perhaps they got some extra dough from organising things on another player to take a cut... Maybe Ricko is playing for free services.

It's common knowledge Hodges, approached the Broncos about returnning to the club with the Roosters consent. The Broncos never approached Hodges.

Errr... I don't think so. Look at it rationally.

Regardless of whether Fittler takes a pay cut, he still earnt a fair whack.

Justin Hodges was a grand final winning centre and a State of Origin representative, he would have been on quite a good wicket. You also forget to mention the names Shannon Heggarty and Peter Cusack (come on, show the facts - be rational).

I've got no concerns whatsoever where they are in relation to the cap. Nor is there any reason to have concerns.

Your also wrong regarding the Roosters approaching Lockyer.Lockyer was informally offered a deal with the Roosters,he declined.

You're wrong.

Both Lockyer, and the Roosters have denied Lockyer was approached.

Show your source please that confirms, from either party (Lockyer or the Roosters) that he was approached.

Who cares aboy Bott!!! We didnt get him. And prove the 120K was annual!! YOU CANT.....so why dont you just leave my club's name the f**k out of yor hypocritical mouth. By all means talk up Manly...its all you have, but dont comment on my club, when you follow a club with the biggest c*&t factor in 40 years.
