If I do the Sydney one it looks like being solo or wait for the Brissy one,no trouble getting a team up there.

No thanks. If I wanted to get electrocuted, I would've punched a cop and force him to taze me.

Is everyone who said they were going to do this still doing it? 2 and a half weeks to go.

Sooo my year long plan has just coming crashing down to earth.

My mate invited me to do Toughmudder with his work. Their policy at their work was that it was only open to family so he registered his brother to do the challenge but I was always going to take over (when his brother got suddenly injured) and transfer his registration to me. Just found out that Toughmudder does not let you transfer registrations. Tough Mudder also stress on the day to bring photo ID so my only hope is to borrow his brothers ID and take it, but he looks nothing like me plus I would still have to book flights to Sydney and back making it a $200 gamble. Worth the risk??

If not, I've at least dropped 11kg's so far this year, am a lot fitter but it's damn demoralising getting to within a week and a half of the event to suddenly realise it may not happen. But I'm now 12 months ahead of schedule for the Brisbane event.

Im not in Sydney, but all the reports I have heard were that people really struggled through the 2 10,000 volt exposed wires obstacle, heard a lot of people had muscle spasms and just collapsed cause their muscles were spasming, like being tasered... Even heard that one bloke went through, hit is head, got knocked out and the shocks woke him up lol.

The shocks were shit, but manageable. Got one through the head though.

Got through in 3 hrs 15 or so which wasnt too bad. Cruised the first 14km or so. Then the log carry was just crap, started to feel drained then, then hit the mud mile and that was f**ked. that took along time to get through and def struggled.

The 15 foot jump wasnt so bad, swims after that relieving and then everest nailed first time, thanks to mates already up the top. Then that last bit of shocks was tough but got through. Smashed a can of solo when I got over the finish line, so relieving

I'm entered for next year as well. I actually fly out to Hawaii at 8pm that night so I have to make sure I get through the course in good time, haha.

Should make or an easy sleep on the plane at least!

Well just got back home from completing tough mudder. Ran the course in 2:25, very happy with the time.

Was a lot more fun than I expected, and really well organised. Will definitely do again :D
