shame McDonald is injured, he was in some pretty good form and it would have been a good yardstick seeing him play against the poms although they'll probably only play their B side.

Agree, and that B side took apart most of our contenders in the last game. Let's see if White can back up his 100 against this attack.

i wouldn't care if australia was as bad as new zealand, i would never support the poms.

I think the biggest person this game is for is Cameron White. White scored a ton in Hobart vs England and it would be impossible to leave someone out who had scored two hundreds vs an English side on tour.

Huge game for D.Hussey too but I think the ball is in Whites court mainly.

I don't care if Cameron White makes runs IMO Steve Smith is the next number 6 in the test side and should be given the chance. He can bat, he can bowl and he fields superbly.

Cameron White does all these things. He has a FC bowling average of 40.2 (Smith 48.88), SR of 68.3 (Smith 76), and batting average of 41.93 (Smith 45.68)

Don't care Smith is much more likely to have a 15 year test career than White is. White doesn't bowl anymore while Smith does. Smith has much more improvement left in him and is pretty much equal to White now so it is an easy decision IMO.

Until White moves up to 3 or 4 for Vic and adds 5 to his average he can't seriously be considered as a test bat and he doesn't bowl anymore so he can't be considered as an all rounder.

Well congrats to White on moving up to 1st drop for this game. If he wants to play tests that's where he belongs. Only got 23, but even Bradman didn't make runs every time. Showed good intent and that's what he needs to do from now on. I hope he makes a good fist of it.

Never seen Hill but might have a good future over time. Didnt realise he was a 19s captain.

Good to see D.Hussey in the runs. If he can keep getting a few then he may go close.

There is no betting on this game is there?

2 very generous declarations, Poms declared at lunch, Vics were cruising 1 down with an average lead giving those who missed out on a bat a chance, then upped the tempo losing quick wickets before Strauss bowled himself and Morgan for the last 10 overs and went at over 10rpo to get the lead up to 310 at stumps.

Wouldn't be surprised if White declares over night and the Poms have a dash at 310 for the win.
