Chad Townsend is certainly acknowledged as one of the most underrated halves in the NRL, but the consistency of his performances from 2016 to present should put him in the category of one of the premier number 7’s in rugby league. Game management, kicking, taking on the line and the decisions made by Townsend under pressure have largely gone unnoticed by commentators and spectators but without the Sharks number 7 quietly doing what he does, the Sharks wouldn’t be close to a finals threat at all IMO. A lot has been said about the acquisition of Johnson and Morris this season who are certainly a bonus to the club but Townsend seems to be the only constant week in week out that never seems to drift in and out of games. Rarely a poor performance and defensively sound, Townsend is the long term future of Sharks success. I’m a Cowboys supporter but you need to give credit where credit is due.

I’d like to know how much Milford is on, including third party.

He’d have to be the most overpaid player in the game!
