Traditional fixtures

I feel that there should be a traditional fixture for each team each year. For example, there is the Anzac day clash with the Dragons and the Roosters. There is also, I believe, the Easter clash with the Broncos and the Roosters. Unlike the herritage round (or whatever it is called), they should be spread out over the year and televised by nine as a live fixture.

Any ideas for which teams should play which other team and when it should be? I would like to see The Raiders play the Storm as their yearly fixture - not really got any idea when but.

maybe have broncos vs cowboys on the queen's b'day monday and take it in turns each year for the home team (brisbane one year, townsville the next and so on).

It has to be Dogs vs Parra...thats a special.

I was thinking Soths v Tigers or Dragons...they are all old rivalries there.

Wests Tigers V Bulldogs

Round 15

Commemorating the Liubinskas affair.
The what?

1975 I believe. Wests and canterbury draw 7-7, Wests lose the one comp point for breaching a replacement rule.
In those days reserves had to complete the reserve grade match to be a reserve for firsts. Mick Liubinskas was only used for part of the lower grade match, completed it then took his place on the bench in firsts.
Canterbury complained he didnt play the entire match in reserve grade, Wests coach Don Parish argued the rules stated a player must only 'complete' the game, it didnt state where that game must commence.

Wests lost the 1 point, cost them outright 5th, had to play off mid week with Parra and Balmain.

Wests n Parra drew the short straws, played the Tues arvo, greg hartley ripped off wests, awarding a penalty too quick instead of playing advantage, Wests scored a try which couldve won the game. Parra win 18-13.

Parra beat Balmain on the Thurs,19-8.... then Canterbury on the sunday, 6-5
