don't thing spurs will get him he will wanna play champions league i think arsenal or liverpool are the likely 1's he said he wants to go to arsenal but if not arsenal then liverpool

I read the Goonies wont pay more than €20m for him, where as we seem to have money to burn atm

money talks, but I think at some stage we'll draw the line

we're expected to have an entirely new midfield by the start of the season and thats gonna cost heaps

personally I dont see the need for Spurs to buy Villa at around €28m, Berby, Keane and Bent should be plenty, and Dos Santos can play striker and we have a very good young striker in out reserve grade team

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's long-term future at Ajax is looking uncertain again because the two parties have not been able to reach agreement regarding a release clause in the striker's proposed new contract.

Danny Blind, technical director at the Amsterdam club, told De Telegraaf that negotiations had broken down mainly because Huntelaar wanted a release clause inserted in the contract, but felt that Ajax wanted to set the price too high.

With the two Manchester clubs and Liverpool all having been linked with the player, news of the stalled talks coulld prompt a some enquiries from England for the Dutch international.

"When you look at the Ajax salary structure he could get a huge deal," Blind explained. "But he doesn't want to see a release clause set at 25 million euros in his contract. We didn't want to go any lower."

Nevertheless, the impasse does not necessarily mean Huntelaar will soon be leaving Aja, acording to Blind.

"We don't want to see Klaas-Jan leave us," he admitted. "The bar is high. We would like to keep our top scorer in Amsterdam. If he doesn't want to sign a new contract, he still has a deal for the next two years."

Blind is hoping Huntelaar will reconsider his options, saying: "The negotiations are stalled. We have agreed on the fact that Ajax will speak with all clubs that come in for Huntelaar. If the interested clubs don't want to pay what we we ask for, then we hope that we can start new talks with Klaas-Jan again."

If What is written is 100% true than if Ade wants to leave arsenal then he can go

Adebayor out for around the 27 to 30mill mark to either milan or barca

And then Klass Jan Huntelaar in for around 15 to 20 mill

Some post Euro news coming out of the German tabloids:

* Man U and Chelsea rumoured to be interested in Bastian Schweinsteiger. They're saying Fergie would want him in the event Ronaldo leaves. I dont see Schweinie as a replacement, completely different players. The Chelsea link comes from Scolari as Schweinsteiger tore Chelsea a new one both in the quarters the other week and in the 06 world cup.

*A rumour Bayern are still looking at Hleb, and Wegner may be interested in Lukas Podolski.

I dont buy either.

Cant see a spot for Scweinsteiger in either Chelsea or Man U.

Bayern have been looking at Hleb for a while. But unless he wants to go, I doubt Klinsman will sell Podolski.

Vieri has quit Fiorentina for Hull City.

Apparently it's confirmed but I can't find a link so I'll put it in this thread.

I heard whispers that it was on the cards late late in the season.

Great signing for Hull if they want a big, slow centre forward well past his best.

He will struggle to cop with the faster game in england at this stage of his career. Big time.

He has a profile though, could get bums on seats if nothing else.

Here's a link, it quotes a newspaper (I know goal.com isn't completely credible).

from what I saw of Hull late in the season, I dont think bums on seats will be a problem.

He'll sell shirts though.

They'd have been better off trying to keep Frazier Campbell on loan.

How is this for a forward line though for Hull:

Nicky Barmby, Dean Windass, Christian Vieri

zimmer frame city

They're still trying, Fergie did reject a permanent move (5 million, where are Hull getting this money?) but they are still talking over a loan, according to the papers anyway.

Zimmer frame city . They should get Teddy's number, I'm sure he's still up for a game.

On that Robbie Keane to Liverpool rumour I wouldnt completely dismiss it.
I dont think Crouch would go to Spurs though.
I think Crouch has his heart set on Portsmouth which means Liverpool would be looking for a striker. You cant blame Crouch for leaving thats for sure but Liverpool wont let him go unless they have somebody else lined up.
On Liverpool the Barry saga is reaching its end.
Its being played out how youd expect it too.
Villa dont want to let him go,then they want more money, then the player makes a plea.
Matter of time.
Some Liverpool players return to Mellwood for training this week too.
Things should heat up.

Do Liverpool really think getting Barry will make any difference to their quest for a title? They already have Mascherano.

What Liverpool need and have always needed is a couple of quality creative midfielders. No more of this Kuyt as a defensive striker bullsh*t or having the likes of Pennant and Benayoun on the flanks. Simply not good enough.

They need some real quality down the right flank ( i rate Babel down the left) and a creative central midfielder to compliment Gerrard.

To think they may have to spend 18 million pound to get Barry when Spurs spent that much to get Modric. gee i wonder who the better player is between those two!
